Our September Theme is Literacy

Greetings in love! Please note that September 8 is the D day for our theme as that day marks World Literacy Day! Many primary and secondary schools would also be resuming a new academic session that day also. As we look forward to that day, let us pray for parents, teachers, students, pupils, school administrators and workers. Let us also pray for the government, whose policies have far reaching effects on the literacy rate of it's citizens. We at TLF look forward to visiting schools this term as usual as we give us teaching aids, encourage the staff, motivate the parents and inspire the children.  We invite you to support our back to school outreach as we purchase biros, pencils, bags, shoes, sandals, canvasses, maths set and other items for children who cannot afford it and also as prizes for those who would resume early, paper neat and show good behaviour. Not forgetting the same for the staff. Thank you for always being there for TLF, we do not take it for granted! I.M.E S.S.L ...

Happy New Month From All Of Us

Month Review

This month we looked at sub-issues under the theme Family! Family entails the father, mother, child who becomes a youth, then an adult and then a father or mother. The United Nations enjoins nations to take seriously the issue of Family and Youth as it declared 15th May as International Day of Families and  12th August as International Youth Day every year to sensitize the public on the issue. Remember in July we dealt with the theme of Trafficking. But our families ought to provide the bedrock that provides support, encouragement, love and the fortitude to resist lures or reasons into slavery, bondage and trafficking. While we are to obey our parents, we are not expected to allow them or siblings send us away into slavery, bondage and to be trafficked. When Jesus is in the family it is a happy home and it glorifies God but upholds the sanctity of the institution and human person. As Christians we know God is our Father, for our success in having godly families, we must give Him gl...
Jenny was so happy about the house they had found. For once in her life 'twas on the right side of town. She unpacked her things with such great ease. As she watched her new curtains blow in the breeze. How wonderful it was to have her own room. School would be starting; she'd have friends over soon. There'd be sleep-overs, and parties; she was so happy It's just the way she wanted her life to be. On the first day of school, everything went great. She made new friends and even got a date! She thought, "I want to be popular and I'm going to be, Because I just got a date with the star of the team!" To be known in this school you had to have clout, And dating this guy would sure help her out. There was only one problem stopping her fate. Her parents had said she was too young to date. "Well I just won't tell them the entire truth. They won't know the difference; what's there to lose?" Jenny asked to stay with her friends that night. Her ...
