Devotionals devotionals devotionals

Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 13:3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. .................... By God's grace in 2019 to God’s glory we would give out Devotionals every month. Why do we need to give out Devotionals? When we are not a church, fellowship or religious body, As an NGO we are seen people who got motivated and encouraged by words of fellow pilgrims in this life, who could relate with whatever situation they were in, and render godly counsel. Such counsel only helps to inspire charity and social development, first from self development. We can't take out the special place of Holy Spirit inspired devotionals from social development. Are you ready to be part of this activity of TLF? Reach us in our centre where you can drop copies or cartons of Devotionals you know we should distribute. Or d

#8 Part of our theme for the month

While 10th of December is Human Rights Day (we recommend you watch “Cyberbully”). Share with us ways you think our rights can be safeguarded. The picture below shows how a true soldier can recognise the need of a vulnerable person and attend to it without ulterior motives.  Now if this was show of brutality or abuse, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we celebrate the privilege of being at a time where more awareness is being created on our rights. God loves us. TLF

#7 Part of our theme for the month

On the 5th of December is the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development (we recommend you watch “Making Charity Fun” by Jehan Ratnatunga). Share with us ways you think more people can volunteer services. The picture below speaks for itself! Now if that was tattoo the man was doing freely, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we celebrate those who take out time, energy and resources to volunteer. We invite interested persons to join us at TLF and other places volunteers are much needed. God loves us. TLF

Week 5/Week 1 of the following month- Fund raising appeal for our permanent centre. On the 1st of January 2018, I received a call from a friend named Gem. He asked me about the proposed TLF centre. He said he can’t wait to visit and play with the children and youths that the centre will host. This call rekindled the joy we once had in 2015 when we had our 10th anniversary and fund raising event. Although the price to build has grown since then, we are holding on to God for the actualization of our dream, our permanent TLF centre. We sincerely thank all those who first donated in 2015 and ask more people to join us. Our target is to raise fifteen million naira (N15,000,000) minimum to build a centre with needed facilities. If we get a donation of land, it would take a major load off! We have a good number of equipments which has taken care of about 20% of what we would need after the centre is built. But we need to expand to carter for more people in a conducive and free environment.

Books books books

Habakkuk 2:2 And the Lord responded to me and said: Write the vision and explain it on tablets, so that he who reads it may run through it. 3 For as yet the vision is far off, and it will appear in the end, and it will not lie. If it expresses any delay, wait for it. For it is arriving and it will arrive, and it will not be hindered. ................. By God's grace in 2019 to God’s glory we would give out Books every month. Why do we need to give out Books? As an NGO we are know that readers are leaders in the true sense. There are lots of insights in books. There are alot of dangers and destruction in some books also. So in line with our mission, we are giving out only inspirational, motivational and encouragement books. What kind of books are these? Books by authors who believe in God, acknowledge the love for humanity and aspire for a better future for mankind. Are you ready to be a part of this activity of TLF? Reach us in our centre where you can drop copies or

#6 Part of our theme

On the 10th of November is the World Science Day for Peace and Development (we recommend you watch “Eye in the Sky”).  Share with us ways you think science can help foster peace and development. The picture below shows a man giving his phone to a boy to see while on a train trip. The boy's interest in the science and technology of the phone and the man's sensitivity to the boy's interest tells us that issues of distrust, envy, threat, racial discrimination, and other vices can be done away with, while embracing togetherness in the innovations of science for peace and development.  Now if that was an Ak43 the man was with and the boy admired, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we celebrate the ways science has helped broker peace and development and not anything otherwise. God loves us. TLF

#5 Part of our theme for the month

The 24th of October is the United Nations (we recommend you watch “Our priorities for saving the world” by Bjorn Lomborg).  Share with us ways you think the United Nations can be effective.  The picture below shows how the decision of one man, then many nations formed to constitute what we now have as the UN. Drogba in his way is doing what many nations are doing or ought to be doing.  Now if this was someone bragging or gloating at his ego or achievements, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we celebrate the UN and how they have helped in upholding human rights and development.  God loves us. TLF

Remembered

We remember Fr. Ogbomwan who prayed for us and the car we acquired for our activities in 2013. Fr. Ogbomwan passed on 24th January 2015. May God grant all left to remember him fortitude. He was indeed a great man and servant of the most High God  TLF

The picture below shows how corporate bodies and group of people an play their parts to eradicate poverty.  Now if that was tramadol or cocaine the group was donating, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we invite, encourage and ask that more people join in performing acts of charity. Remembering that whatever you do to the least of our fellow humans, we do to Jesus Christ Himself. TLF

16th January

No matter the personal relationship I have or do not have with anyone, I acknowledge their greatness when I come to its knowledge. Even if there are a thousand great people out there I would never be acquainted with I celebrate their greatness and wish their legacies well. Not completely so with the late Dr. Ehidiamen Oaikhena, my senior in school, a brother in Bible Club and by virtue of his sister, a family friend, I know of his greatness and acknowledge his legacies. The last conversation we had was about how he was preparing to set up a much needed hospital in our neighbourhood. If we should ask why such a bright, jovial, hardworking, faithful husband, loving father, cordial colleague, faithful son, loyal brother and devout Christian was taken away in such a gruesome way and in such a short period of time on earth, we would probably get the answers God gave Job and his 3 friends. So like Job we must say, ‘Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither:

The picture below shows a man giving out his shoes to needy girl without footwear. Now if that was intoxicating drink or ostentatious items not needed to uplift body and soul, we would be saying a different thing entirely. This month we celebrate the ways poverty can be eradicated and pray that we enjoy plenty and enough. God loves us. TLF

January Charge

New Beginning The Tina Love Foundation (TLF) is pleased to be a part of your success story. In this month our focus will be on the theme ‘New Beginning!’ In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. [Genesis 1:1] Although the beginning of a matter leads to the end, it does not necessarily determine the end. [Ecclesiastes 7:8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.] A child has to be born in order to grow and excel. But that a child was born under trying times does not mean that the child will live in such circumstances. [Job 8:7 Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.] So we must put our trust in Jesus Christ Who is the Beginning and the End. [Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."] For this year that we go to

Reminiscing

1st January It was a glorious day on the 1st of January 2005. It was a covenant day. A day I had prayed for.  A day I had waited for. I had saved up for. I had written down the blueprint. I had asked for a name. I had made consultations. I had started in 1996 to get around to places I would like to give to; and 9 years after I was led by God to start my Charity. The blueprint was blessed by God through Fr. Dr. Michael and the first thing given was a Complete Bible to Obinna whose brother later became my first employer in 2009, and that very Bible was the first thing I saw on our conference table (this is just summarizing all that has happened under God’s divine plan). 14 years after I thank God for all His goodness and mercy that has followed me all the days of my life. Today is our anniversary, praise God! Special thanks to all who have been a part of us. TLF

Remembered

Just around this time early noon on the 1st of January 2017, after returning from church, still not feeling well in health, I received a call that my senior colleague, 2nd mother, best friend and all that is good passed on in glory to God. Devastated, totally broken and sorrowful I saw myself thanking God. Flesh and blood had not made me thank God but the Spirit of God Himself. I had to be comforted by God knowing He knows best. Surrounded by family in the yuletide, I received the support that I wish everyone going through life itself would have and even more. Nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:35, 38 and 39). Even while some are feasting and celebrating, some are alive and in health, a number of others at the other side of this life are bereaved, sick, in agony and even hungry. But God loves us all irrespective of our situation. All things work for our good. Therefore, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say, rejoice." (Philippians 4:4)
