New Beginning

The Tina Love Foundation (TLF) is pleased to be a part of your success story. In this month our focus will be on the theme ‘New Beginning!’

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth.
[Genesis 1:1]


Although the beginning of a matter leads
to the end, it does not necessarily
determine the end.
[Ecclesiastes 7:8 The end of a thing is
better than its beginning; The patient in
spirit is better than the proud in spirit.]

A child has to be born in order to grow and excel. But that a child was born under trying times does not mean that the child will live in such circumstances.
[Job 8:7 Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.]

So we must put our trust in Jesus Christ Who is the Beginning and the End.
[Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."]

For this year that we go to possess, live and succeed in, is already known by God. The promises of God are for those who believe and are called by His name. Most of all, those who love!
[Deuteronomy 11:11 But the land, where you go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks water of the rain of heaven:
12 A land which the LORD your God cares for: the eyes of the LORD your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
13 And it shall come to pass, if you shall listen diligently to My commandments which I command you this day, to love
                                                                                 the LORD your God, and to serve him
                                                                                 with all your heart and with all your
                                                                                 soul,]

Do you wonder why people who are not of God are seen and known more to give like free food, free health attention and the likes, or, show support and build social infrastructures like hospitals, schools, zebra crossings, and the likes? While those who say they are children of God are often wicked, vindictive, selective, tight fisted and self-extravagant? The Bible tells us that righteousness is of God. Righteousness is to do the will of God and God is the Lord of compassion. Anyone who shows sincere compassion like Cornelius (Acts 10) is on his way to salvation in Jesus Christ. But those who claim to be children of God who hoard and lie about their works of love and charity without repenting are on their way to the fate of Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5)!

Don’t get it twisted, many who do not believe in God have made it their duty to condemn, judge and pick at our every word and deed done in His name. Their hate comes from the fact that we are trying to impact the society for good in the name of GOD. They do not do the same to those who do it for vainglory, or with illicit funds, or without reference and allegiance to Jesus Christ. But at TLF the love of Tina is simply and totally the love of God made manifest in all who are involved with TLF as well as Tina. Who can love without God? Who can love more than God? No one! Who is Tina without Jesus Christ? Nothing!

[1 John 3:10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.
13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.
14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.]

Acts of charity or love and social development are all geared towards worship of the Creator of Heavens and Earth, God Almighty the I Am. What is the essence of TLF feeding the poor, clothing the naked, educating the child, advocating for social justice and change, if all these end in this life? What are those who we teach, feed and give books to doing in eternal destruction, hell? Wetin we gain? Heaven is the goal.
[Psalms 22:27 All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You.]

Therefore, in giving out Bibles, Devotionals, Books, CDs, Tracts, Comics, Donation (Money); organizing workshops, seminars and film-shows, visiting orphanages, prisons, hospitals, widows and the elderly; sending SMS, emails, messages on our online platforms, pasting posters; among other things we do, we fulfil God’s Word. God teaches us, we will learn and impact on others. We will ensure that to the end, people are inspired, motivated and encouraged to be more sensible, sensitive and loving.
[Psalms 119:33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end.]

Many people wonder why TLF started when we were mostly young people, who were just starting out life with little resources, experience and even time. But we know that when God calls a person, He Himself will qualify that person (David, Jeremiah, Mary, Timothy, and others). Anything God decrees He makes provision for. Time and chance happens to us all so we must work while it is day because when it is night we can do nothing. Day signifies life for us, night represents death. If we keep in mind that we are pilgrims through this life we would get up and get to work.

We are not in control of our lives. God is. Even at 33 plus when our Lord Jesus died, He had achieved His work. He was not limited to start work at 30 plus. As at 12 he had already started building His knowledge, asking and responding to questions and growing in favour in God and men. At Cana He did His first miracle when His time had not come.


If you have been called by God (like young Samuel) and you are not sure, go and meet God, answer, get to work, life is fleeting. There is no salvation or charity in the grave. If at death a rich man wills his wealth to charity, it is those left on the stage of life that will execute it still.
[Psalms 39:4 "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.]

As the year commences for us at TLF, we have our plans, activities and aspirations. In all these we kindly ask that you caution, advice, correct, guide us (TLF, and all) when we stray or say or do what is not right. We have good intentions to play our parts in issues of charity and social development to the extent of our mission and vision, but a way may seem right, and the end is destruction. Remember Apostle Paul wanted to go and preach in a particular place and the Holy Spirit Himself re-directed him.
[Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.]

Remember David had a good intention to build a Temple for God, but God sent His prophet Nathan to stop him.
[1 Kings 8:17 "Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a temple for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
18 "But the LORD said to my father David, 'Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.
19 'Nevertheless you shall not build the temple, but your son who will come from your body, he shall build the temple for My name.']

Whether or not all of us who are reading this will see the end of the year, or if Jesus comes or our purpose has been fulfilled, we must have eternity in mind. We would just change baton and receive our crown of glory
[Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man's all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.]

In God’s own time, will and good purpose, everything will work for the good of those who love Him and His plan for our welfare and future will manifest.
[Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.]
