TLF Activities We usually go out to share inspirational, motivational and encouraging tracts in schools, buses, parks, eateries, and even on the streets.  This picture was taken at our Centre where we collate our own printed tracts as well as those we get from others for onward distribution. We have numerous tracts and still welcome more. We have had the privilege to work with Tract House through Mr Jolly and Mr Eguare; and Rawel Printers Mr Ehiorobo.  We would love to continue to share to the public even as we have most of our logistics. We however need more volunteers who would help write, print, collate, distribute and receive feedbacks from our readers by way of follow-up. While growing up, I received my first tract titled “I’ll Do It Later” I didn’t read it till 1995 even though it was an illustrated tract. My reading it in 1995 revealed a lot of things, for example I did exactly what the tract warned against- procrastination! Though it was just in the little ma
How to Feel at Home At different points in time, I have had to be accommodated in someone's house for many reasons. When I worked in Lagos, my friend sheltered me for six months. I didn't pay rent. I have also stayed with some families for days and weeks maybe due to work or just visit.  One key thing I always have in mind is that I am outside my house and someone has offered me shelter and sometimes food. I am eager to contribute. If I sleep till 10am in my house on Saturdays, I can't try it in an uncle's family house. If I wake up in the morning and just bath and leave in my house, I can't try it in another person's house. If I eat and keep the plate in the sink in my house, I rarely try it in another's house. Many times, I will be offered a VIP treatment: "No, don't worry, the kids will clean it", "oh, don't worry I will wash it". I definitely refuse such offer. When I am welcomed to a place, the only way I show I am we

Thank you for August

Month Review This month we looked at sub-issues under the theme Family! Family entails the father, mother, child who becomes a youth, then an adult and then a father or mother. The United Nations enjoins nations to take seriously the issue of Family and Youth as it declared 15th May as International Day of Families and  12th August as International Youth Day every year to sensitise the public on the issue. Remember in July we dealt with the theme of Trafficking. But our families ought to provide the bedrock that provides support, encouragement, love and the fortitude to resist lures or reasons into slavery, bondage and trafficking. While we are to obey our parents, we are not expected to allow them or siblings send us away into slavery, bondage and to be trafficked. When Jesus is in the family it is a happy home and it glorifies God but upholds the sanctity of the institution and human person. As Christians we know God is our Father, for our success in having godly f
We choose to remember Nosa Osawe. He was very instrumental in the growth of TLF and was a donor. We choose to request that you remember his family and loved ones in prayers. Nosa left us as a youth, in his prime and annually 15th of July is World Youth Skills Day. While it is the desire of every family to hand over the mantle of leadership to the children who themselves start their families and the beautiful cycle continues, it important for us to harness the skills God has given to our youths in their prime, way before they even launch out to be on their own. Do you ever wonder why more youths are being harnessed into all sorts of illicit ways such as drugs, alcohol, sleep and food abuse, immoral music, entertainment, reality shows and movies, among many others? But we must do something. We are the light and salt of the earth. Why should parents and even the entire family of a youth stand and watch he\r go along the path of destruction? Are we not bothered? At our Tue
We hope you enjoyed this month's theme. Let's do this theme again next August! But join us in our new theme for next month...
Thanks to Amadin Orphanage for the opportunity to mark my birthday some years ago with the children at the Centre. I'm pleased when I see and hear people take their celebrations to those who cannot reciprocate and pay them back. May God bless us all in Jesus name, amen

Politics

Remember our political leaders are a part of a family, neighbourhood, group, faith and are not in a vacuum. Some still have parents. Let's hope that they carry on their family name and do the right thing. #August #Family #JoinUs
AND MINE 😊
Lessons from the HEN: 1. She first lays enough eggs before sitting on them: GOOD PLANNING. 2. When she starts sitting on her eggs, she minimizes movement: DISCIPLINE. 3. She physically loses weight while sitting on her eggs due to decreased feeding: SACRIFICE and SELF DENIAL. 4. She can sit on eggs from another hen: INDISCRIMINATE and GENEROUS. 5. She sits on her eggs for 21 days, patiently waiting, and even if they don't hatch she will still lay eggs again: FAITH, HOPE, and COURAGE. 6. She detects unfertilized eggs and rolls them out: SENSITIVE and DISCERNING. 7. She abandons the rotten eggs and starts caring for the hatched chicks even if it is only one: WISE, CONSCIOUS, and REALISTIC. 8. No one can touch her chick: PROTECTIVE LOVE. 9. She gathers all her Chicks together: UNITY of PURPOSE. 10. She doesn't abandon her chicks before they mature: MENTORING Live your dreams, one day they shall hatch, and you shall see them grow.
Whatsapp Message The Governor of North Carolina once complimented Thomas Edison on his creative genius. "I am not a great inventor," countered Edison. "But you have over 1,000 patents to your credit," the Governor stated. "Yes, but about the only invention I can claim is absolutely original, is the phonograph," Edison replied. "I'm afraid I don't understand," the Governor remarked. "Well," explained Edison, "I'm an awfully good sponge. I absorb ideas wherever I can and put them to practical use. Then I improve them until they become of some value. My ideas are mostly the ideas of other people who didn't develop them themselves." Edison was a lifelong learner. He stayed open, hungry for knowledge, and teachable. And to succeed, you must too. To know whether you're teachable, ask yourself:  (1) Am I open to other people's thoughts and ideas?  (2) Do I listen more than I talk?  (3) Am I willing to cha

RULES FOR PREVENTING YOUR HOUSEMAID FROM SNATCHING YOUR HUSBAND.  _BY PASTOR BISI ADEWALE_ In this modern day, housemaids have become part of many family life and a whole lots of women are making serious mistakes the way they handle them. Some are losing their marriages because of this little mistakes. Remember the mistake of Sarah in the Bible. You need to get divine wisdom to handle them. This is what I have put together as rules for handling housemaids: RULE 1: *NO MEAT FOR THE HUNTER* Never employ an house maid if you cannot really trust your husband with opposite sex or if he has history of sexual infidelity. An adult house keeper will be better who will come to your house in the morning and go in the night. Please don't employ your ‘Hagar’, dear sister Sarah. RULE 2: *BEAUTY CONTEST* Never employ a housemaid that is more beautiful than you. She may turn out to be your nemesis and take your husband from you. Don't employ somebody that will engage you in a bea

We Have a King! By Xochitl Dixon In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. Judges 21:25 After attacking my husband with hurtful words when a situation didn’t go my way, I snubbed the Holy Spirit’s authority as He reminded me of Bible verses that revealed my sinful attitudes. Was nursing my stubborn pride worth the collateral damage in my marriage or being disobedient to God? Absolutely not. But by the time I asked for forgiveness from the Lord and my spouse, I’d left a wake of wounds behind me—the result of ignoring wise counsel and living as if I didn’t have to answer to anyone but myself. There was a time when the Israelites had a rebellious attitude. After the death of Moses, Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land. Under his leadership, the Israelite’s served the Lord (Judg. 2:7). But after Joshua and the generation that outlived him died, the Israelites forgot God and what He’d done (v. 10). They rejected godly leadership and embraced sin (v

It's our anniversary today... yes we have many anniversaries 🥰 January 1st is also there. But it was on this day in 2010 that we got our Certificate of Incorporation.  It's been God all the way. To God be all glory.  Thank you all and more for all the immerse contributions you have all made to my mission and vision, which has by this Incorporation become our collective mission and vision.  I am indeed grateful. As we mark this anniversary we will be having an outdoor outreach by our Umbrella Kiosk to give out things God willing.  #JoinUs

Theme Bible Verses

Romans 13: 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Proverbs 15: 17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a fatted ox and hatred with it. 2 Corinthians 6: 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will live in them and move among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean; then I will welcome you, 18 and I will be a father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." Joshua 24:15 And if you be unwilling to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Proverbs 22: 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is o
WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART ABOUT MARRIAGE THAT NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT. There isn’t just one: “You can be right or you can be happy, but you cannot be them both.” This is largely true. No, I’m not a pacifist — I fight about plenty of things. I’m married to someone I love. I can fight and quibble over everything or the worthless small things or I can learn to be wrong. I can learn to let him take credit for whatever he likes. I don’t succeed at this every day of our lives, but I work on it, I’m improving and it’s made our lives better. “We can have things or we can do things, but we cannot have them both.” We don’t give gifts of any kind. We don’t buy lots of stuff for our houses and we avoid spending money on expensive big purchases like nice cars. We travel A LOT. We save every spare penny and go places. (Southern Africa — May 2020.) “Whatever we do, we do it together. Everything that is mine, is his; everything that is his, is mine. Whatever the problem, it’s both of ours.” Ev
Blessed is the Child of Light who doth seek his Heavenly Father for he shall have eternal life.  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.  Bless our child and also help him to mend the error of his ways. Help and bless us all to do right in Your name and restore us to peace and tranquility.  Yes in our year of access, you'll continue to enjoy great peace from above for our kids in Jesus' Name, Amen.  For by grace our kids shall be full of wisdom and love always.
Join us to wish one of us Jokpanoghene a tremendous happy birthday today. May God bless her new age and grant her abundant blessings, good health, mercy, direction, long life, and everything good in Jesus name, amen. 🎂💚
In Hebrew, Raphael means "God heals" and He is known as the "Divine Healer."  My hope is that these prayers will help heal those in need, both physically and spiritually.  Yes in our year of access, Jehovah Rapha will continue to speak for you in areas that you desire healing in your life in Jesus' Name, Amen.  For by great grace and glory divine healing and power remain your portion this year 2019 and beyond.
I consider all giving in Tina Love Foundation selfless sacrifice... That N10 could have bought you chewing up... That N100 could have bought you a bottle of water... That N1000 could have bought you recharge card... That N10000 could have bought you a decent apparel... That N100000 could have bought you household items... That N1000000 could have bought you something big, really big... But when you give TLF it's sacrifice and a foregone interest for all these and more. Money that could have been given to a needy family, friend or church or fellowship project or other Charity Groups you belong to. But at that time you choose/chose to donate to our cause. What do you think we would say or do? We would rejoice, thank God and pray for you! 2 Corinthians   9:7  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.   9:8  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having

Okay so I've known Odia for long and reached out generally to him as I did many others. But it was overwhelming to receive a very generous donation from him from faraway! Our dear friend, father and brother has responded to our humble and passionate appeal to raise funds specifically for a new projector. Please I sincerely ask that we all join to thank God for our donor Sir Odia. It is good that we can achieve things by God's grace not power. Please join us in TLF to thank him for his very generous donation as we continue to raise funds that would provide us with the new projector soonest by God's mercy. All donations made to TLF are held in trust strictly for our activities and mission in TLF. Thank you
Most of us realize that our own strength is not always enough to get through some of the situations that this life brings.  At those difficult times, it is wise to call on God for extra strength and for His strength to help sustain you when your own strength fails.  Recall: Psalms 28:8 and Isaiah 40:29. Yes in our year of access, our Lord will cause His strength to abound for you in Jesus' Name, Amen.  For I beseech you for strength and for wisdom that you would be able to endure all situations and be able to handle things in a way that would bring glory to Your name always.
To spare or not to spare, this is the question. Let's discuss. Is this still necessary in a family #Family

*OUR WEEKLY OUTLINE*  Mondays - General Counselling and Prayers *we would agree that there is an increase in wrong decisions being taken by many with regards life and death when things don't go well. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from like minded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith. Tuesdays - Seminars and Workshops  *based on our monthly theme we have different sub-themes from which we need to address and formulate action plans as a group. These seminars and workshops also provide opportunities to have filmshows. The effect of having audio-visual meetings can't be overestimated. Wednesdays - Ecumenism in Music *by bringing people together who have interest in music, we provide in our immediate community, the opportunity for people to sing, have spoken word poetry, learn with the few musical instruments- we have and understand the power of influence music has in every sec
Kick against Vices Say no to all marital vices, infidelity and lies. it has never been okay or understandable to cheat. it may be usual but it may not normal because what God has joined together, no one must put asunder.  The marriage bed must remain undefiled not matter what a preacher, parent or movie tells you.  Remember Jesus said even though in the time of Moses, people were given the right to divorce, met was not the original will and plan of God.  Let God's perfect Will and plan be done. We pray everyone facing infidelity crisis in their marriages be restored to the holy and beautiful plan of God and His intention in marriage, amen #August #Family #JoinUs
We sincerely thank our dear brother Victor for always providing us copies of the Word for today. Just received the ones for August to October today. I saw that the main author Bob Gass has passed on to be with the Lord, he was 75years old. Let's pray for his family, TWFT staff, The Village of Hope members and all left to remember him. He will be greatly missed. I appreciate him and all God used him for in the 25 years he spent delivering God's Word through this devotional made freely available by Grace So Amazing Foundation
