Today all over the world, we celebrate World Literacy Day. Know that what we want is, 'Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity.' It has been set aside to encourage formal education. It is our D Day in TLF for our theme #ReLearning. We know that literacy is not just attending school but knowing how to truly comprehend, read and write and behave civilly in the society and even at home. We celebrate all teachers, students and school management. The ultimate kudos go to the parents, wards, NGOs and Charities that sponsor children and wards to school. #ReLearning #September TLF 💚

In TLF we are big on education at all levels. We know that September is a month for the beginning of a new session at all levels. While interruptions may occur at the tertiary level, secondary and primary schools have stable academic calendars. Having experienced tertiary education in University of Benin, University of Ibadan, Afe Babalola University and University of Ilorin not to forget the Nigerian Law School, there is the urgent need to cater for the needs of the tertiary environment - staff and students. We also give special mention to those with businesses, religious centres, visitors and parents of those in tertiary institutions. Take for instance in our theme in September especially, focus is completely on issues of literacy and learning. The role of the tertiary institutions we have in Nigeria cannot be overestimated in terms of charity and social development. The tertiary institution is often seen as the finishing school of every individual who has the opportunity to attend....

MONDAYS - General Counselling and Prayers We would agree that there is an increase in wrong decisions being taken by many with regards life and death when things don't go well. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from likeminded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith. Come for counselling and group circle meetings. TUESDAYS - Seminars and Workshops  Based on our monthly theme we have different sub-themes from which we need to address and formulate action plans as a group. These seminars and workshops also provide opportunities to have film shows. The effect of having audio-visual meetings can't be overestimated. Since children are the future, let us adults, relearn all those things that did not help us, and learn new things and methods that can make the next generation better. Children are open tolerning, but what are they learning? What are we teaching them or permitting to enter into their knowledge and awareness? We all have a duty to the next generation. This is because these days play a role in adding to the sum total of our Aim and Objectives in TLF.  But note that 8th of September is International Literacy Day is the "D" day, we are going to focus on issues of the education, literacy and learning. #Copied  Jenny was so happy about the house they had found. For once in her life 'twas on the right side of town. She unpacked her things with such great ease. As she watched her new curtains blow in the breeze. How wonderful it was to have her own room. School would be starting; she'd have friends over soon. There'd be sleep-overs, and parties; she was so happy It's just the way she wanted her life to be. On the first day of school, everything went great. She made new friends and even got a date! She thought, "I want to be popular and I'm going to be, Because I just got a date with the star of the team!" To God be all glory, on this day 16 years ago, we received our Certificate of Incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria, marking the beginning of our Foundation as a duly registered Incorporated Trusteeship. We continue to appreciate all those who made our Incorporation possible. We thank all those who have been with us since 2005 and then 2010 till date, God sees our hearts and intentions and will bless us continually in Jesus name, amen. Every month we visit Correctional Centres, A Health Centre and An Educational Centre, among others things. We update our online presence from time to time via our blog, Facebook pages, WhatsApp Channel, among others. We welcome volunteers, members and Trustees. We welcome beneficiaries. Six year-old Brandon decided one Saturday morning to fix his parents pancakes. He found a big bowl and spoon, pulled a chair to the counter, opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister, spilling it on the floor.  He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of a cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor which by now had a few tracks left by his kitten.  Brandon was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad.  He didn't know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on the stove and he didn't know how the stove worked! Suddenly he saw his kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically he tried to clean up this monumental mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pajamas white and sticky.  And just then he saw Dad standing at the do...

I often attend Inaugural lectures wherever I find myself in academic environments in whatever field it centres on. Our prayer is that our numerous lectures, projects, theses and researches leave the shelves and achieves and go to town! Money, fame and prestige are not everything. When we get degrees is it just for our self aggrandisement or wealth? The ultimate law is love, so says the Bible and we align with it in TLF. All our education and research should be for good of the society and for social development. The satisfaction that all God has endowed on us and our knowledge gotten, must necessitate that we take our "gowns" to "town." Let us impact where God has sent us to. How can our society develop if we do not apply even our academic knowledge? I celebrate with all our inaugural lecturers, they have done their own and done so excellently. Zoey our star girl ✨ should inspire us all! Just was thinking and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that need rekindling or three words needing to be said, sometimes, "I love you" can heal & bless!
