If everyone was a CEO, we would have no drivers. If everyone was a garderner, we would have no Judges. Every job counts 100%. AI, machinery or otherwise, we need each other!

“For Love or Money” By Bill Crowder Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions. Luke 12:15 Read Luke 19:1–10 Irish poet Oscar Wilde said, “When I was young I thought that money was the most important thing in life; now that I am old I know that it is.” Oscar Wilde however lived till the age forty-six. Money is temporary; it comes and it goes. So life must be about more than money and what it can buy.  Jesus challenged the people of His generation—rich and poor alike—to a recalibrated value system. He said, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”  In our culture, where there’s an abiding focus on more and newer and better, there’s something to be said both for contentment and for perspective about how we view money and possessions. Upon meeting Jesus, a rich young ruler went away sad because he had many possessions he didn’t want to give up (...

"For such a time as this." Esther 4:14  The right place; the right people Esther won a beauty contest, married a king, lived in a palace, uncovered a plot to exterminate the Jewish people and saved them. Her story shows us the importance of being in the right place, and being influenced by the right people. So: (1) Where you are today is no accident. Mordecai, Esther's mentor, challenged her and changed her life by saying, "Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" Esther didn't set out to be queen, but once she was, she had to decide between her comfort and her calling. It's a choice we all make. "What's my calling?" you ask. It could involve your job, your marriage, your tasks as a parent, your friendships. It could involve the neighborhood where you live or volunteering at your church. One thing is certain: when God calls, it's "your time." We're tempted to think we're "t...

Everybody in the white-collar world

Americans have never shrunk from adversity, so in the fullness of time young people may put on their game face, create new industries, discover fresh roads to affluence and solve the nation's vexing economic problems. But all that lies far in the future. The immediate problem is psychological: the sudden, shocking realization that work as it is constituted in the early 21st century is going to be hell. In the workplace, you don't get to pick your company. In the workplace, you do not get a trophy just for showing up. In the workplace, the boss gets to scream at you as a perk. Probably your first day on the job. Your boss, who doesn't have an iPad, isn't on Facebook and doesn't know how to text. Your boss, who doesn't particularly care rap. Your boss, who probably has a night-school degree. Young people can be forgiven for thinking that the portrayal of the working world in comedies like "The Office" and "Office Space" is completely over the t...

Weekly Outline At Our Centre

OUR WEEKLY OUTLINE  MONDAYS - General Counselling and Prayers We would agree that there is an increase in wrong decisions being taken by many with regards life and death when things don't go well. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from likeminded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith. Come for counselling and group circle meetings. TUESDAYS - Seminars and Workshops  Based on our monthly theme we have different sub-themes from which we need to address and formulate action plans as a group. These seminars and workshops also provide opportunities to have film shows. The effect of having audio-visual meetings can't be overestimated. Come we invite you to attend our weekly workshop, seminar or film show. WEDNESDAYS - Ecumenism in Music By bringing people together who have interest in music, we provide in our immediate community, the opportunity for people to sing, have spoken word poetry, and learn with ...

We encourage engagements, contributions and support for our activities on the Internet, in our Centre and our out reaches around the states. Please bear in mind that money is essential in every family, organisation and even charities. We welcome donations in cash and kind, endowment and referrals. We also welcome volunteers and stipend support for those already volunteering. This month's donation in TLF is to raise funds for the Physically Challenged Worker out there in need of our help. There are many around us and it may not be difficult to select a beneficiary, but let the Holy Spirit lead the way. There is the particular person God has ordained to receive the money we shall raise for this cause. May that person not pass us by so I want to urge us all to please donate for this cause. We can help encourage a physically challenged person who has chosen to work rather lie down in idleness, begging, complaining or making excuses. We can raise some money and make this donation as a g...

Tribute to Mr. C. I. D. Clark

The entire Tina Love Foundation Remembers and Pays Tribute to Mr. C. I. D. Clark It is surreal, I miss you my father. Tina's Daddy (September 24th to June 6th) A dad is a mender of toys, a leader of boys. He's a changer of fuses, a healer of bruises. He's a mover of couches, a healer of ouches. He's a hanger of screens, a counselor of teens. He's a pounder of nails, a teller of tales. He's a dryer of dishes, a fulfiller of wishes. Bless him, oh Lord. Knowledge and wisdom, far from being one, Have oft times no connection. Knowledge dwells in the heads replete with thoughts of other men: Wisdom in minds attentive to their own. Knowledge is proud that he had learned so much. Wisdom is humble that he knows no more. He who knows not, and knows not that  He knows not, is a fool, shun him. H who knows not, but knows that he Knows not, is a child, teach him. He who knows, but knows not that he  Knows, is asleep, wake him up. But he who knows, and knows that he  Knows, i...

I often attend Inaugural lectures wherever I find myself in academic environments in whatever field it centres on. Our prayer is that our numerous lectures, projects, theses and researches leave the shelves and achieves and go to town! Money, fame and prestige are not everything. When we get degrees is it just for our self aggrandisement or wealth? The ultimate law is love, so says the Bible and we align with it in TLF. All our education and research should be for good of the society and for social development. The satisfaction that all God has endowed on us and our knowledge gotten, must necessitate that we take our "gowns" to "town." Let us impact where God has sent us to. How can our society develop if we do not apply even our academic knowledge? I celebrate with all our inaugural lecturers, they have done their own and done so excellently. We commend and congratulate all inaugural lecturers. Thank you. We urge you also to attend inaugural lectures when you can a...

UN Days for the Month of June.

The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization. Usually, it is one or more Member States that propose these observances and the General Assembly establishes them with a resolution. On occasion, these celebrations are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc., when they concern issues that fall within the scope of their competencies. Some of them may be later adopted by the General Assembly. 1 June Global Day of Parents   3 June World Bicycle Day  4 June International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression   5 June World Environment Day  5 June International Day for the Fight against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing  8 June World Oceans Day   12 June World Day Against Child Labour 13 June International Albinism Awarene...

Theme

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...
