19 November is World Toilet Day.

We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who help build, donate, renovate schools', hospitals', public and domestic toilets, and carry out awareness on the need to use toilets. God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; God is love. There is no answer outside of God. Your life in God is most important. In all your research, submit to Jesus Christ and be fervent. Tina Tobo ... the ultimate law is love. #April

Prevention is better than cure. the extreme is also a problem. Just live right and have a balanced diet and exercise routine. But do not overdo exercises and do not indulge in unhealthy eating. We love you. TLF💚

Organ Trafficking

While some people are freely donating their organs and blood to those who need, there are criminals, selfish people and evil persons engaged in organ trafficking. The number at the end of this story is real.  This guy went out on a Saturday night a few weeks ago to a party. He was having a good time and had a couple of beers and some girl seemed to like him & invited him to go to another party.  He quickly agreed & decided to go along with her. She took him to a party in some apartment and they continued to drink & even got involved with some drug (unknown). The next thing he knew, he woke up completely naked in a bathtub filled with ice. He was still feeling the effects of the drugs, but looked around to see he was alone.  He looked down at his chest, which had CALL 000 or YOU'LL DIE" written on it with lipstick. He saw a phone was on a stand next to the tub so he picked it up & dialed. He explained to the EMS operator what the situation was & that he...

TLF Encourages Us All To Healthy Living

We commend those who engage in one form of healthy and legal activity or the other to help keep fit and avoid obesity. Do you know you can curb your cravings to eat excessively? The money used to buy excess food, or the excess food you already have can be diverted to those who do not have anything or enough to eat please. Thank you. Please do everything in moderation. Let us shun excess sugar and adulterated goods. Be Positive  Be Progressive  Take the time to make a positive difference in someone's life. Walk by faith not by sight.  Receive God's blessings. Nurses Week runs from May 6-12, timed to commemorate Florence Nightingale's birthday on the 12th.

We celebrate with nurses every time they have their Nurses Week. God bless nurses who truly know their vocation, profession and expertise. We must respect nurses and encourage them in their work so they do better, they stay in their countries to work and they live long to work and enjoy. From all of us in TLF💚 We wish nurses well.

Are you at an inaugural lecture right now?!

I often attend Inaugural lectures wherever I find myself in academic environments in whatever field it centres on. Our prayer is that our numerous lectures, projects, theses and researches leave the shelves and achieves and go to town! Money, fame and prestige are not everything. When we get degrees is it just for our self aggrandisement or wealth? The ultimate law is love, so says the Bible and we align with it in TLF. All our education and research should be for good of the society and for social development. The satisfaction that all God has endowed on us and our knowledge gotten, must necessitate that we take our "gowns" to "town." Let us impact where God has sent us to. How can our society develop if we do not apply even our academic knowledge? I celebrate with all our inaugural lecturers, they have done their own and done so excellently. We commend and congratulate all inaugural lecturers. Thank you. We urge you also to attend inaugural lectures when you can a...

STRESS SIGNALS

Silent signals you’re stressed 1. Skip the alcohol for a week or so. That glass of wine with dinner may be part of the reason your jeans are too tight. Alcohol also tends to raise cortisol levels, sending fat to your belly. 2. Stop smoking. “It keeps me thin,” proclaim many smokers. But the truth is that smokers tend to have more abdominal fat than nonsmokers. (The stress hormone cortisol seems to be the culprit here too.) When people stop smoking, the amount of abdominal fat actually decreases. 3. Eat more fibre. Not only is it great for overall weight loss (it fills you up so you don't eat as much), but it also prevents constipation, which can cause your tummy to bulge. Eat more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. 4. Drink up. For premenstrual bloating, drink lots and lots of water. This will actually help flush away bloating, not make it worse. 5. Keep bones strong. Osteoporosis can lead to fractured bones in your spine, causing you to slump. That shortens your abdominal cavit...

A Baby In The Womb!

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”  “Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?” The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.” The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.” The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.” The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why ha...

Theme Bible Verses

Mark 5:22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live." 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him. 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well." 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My clothes?"...

7th April is World Health Day.

This is our D day for our theme in TLF. We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who participate in all issues of HEALTH. God bless your labour and work of love. I was a beneficiary of one of such free medical outreaches along side many others. May we not do anything in vain. ... throwback of such free medical outreaches over the years ... ... other throwback activities ... ... more throwbacks ... ... more throwbacks ... ... more throwbacks ... ... more throwbacks ... Remember Luke 7:22, 23 Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me." Jehovah Rapha. God the Healer. God is love. We in TLF wish you good health. We visit hospitals, clinics and the indigent. We solicit your financial support for this ca...

Importance of vitamin A to vision

AS we grow older, our eye lens loses its elastic nature and becomes relatively a solid mass, a condition which eye doctors often referred to as presbyopia. When this happens, the eyes are more or less permanently focused and are no longer able to accommodate both near and far vision. This is one of the reasons an older person often needs to wear eye glasses with bifocal lenses, with the lower portion of the glasses being of stronger power for close vision, while the upper portion allows him to see more freely at a distance. The iris is a beautiful circular curtain like structure lying in front of the lens of the eyes. Orientals (Asians) generally have brown eyes, but the western people may have brown, blue, green, grey, or black, depending on their family background. The iris, according to eye doctors, has a very important function, for it controls the amount of light that enters the eyes. The central black spot, or what is commonly called pupils, opens up wide in darkness, but becomes...

pro life? pro choice?

THINK AGAIN! Would you consider abortion in the following situations? 1. There's a preacher and wife who are very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with the 15th. They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their tremendous poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion? 2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. 1st is blind, 2nd is dead, 3rd is deaf, 4th has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion? 3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion? 4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he's very upset. Would you consider recommending abortion? Well for your information if you "consider recommending abortion"-  In the 1st case ...
