*10pm*  *Our prayer point for the hour is-* Let's pray for unity. As Christians, Jesus earnestly prayed to God our Father that we be one as He is one with the Father.  *Our Text for the hour is-* 1 Peter 2:1-2 So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation  *Let's Ponder on-* John 17: 21 So may they all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me, and I am in you, so also may they be one in us: so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 And the glory that you have given to me, I have given to them, so that they may be one, just as we also are one. 23 I am in them, and you are in me. So may they be perfected as one. And may the world know that you have sent me and that you have loved them, just as you have also loved me.  *Our Song for the hour is-* We are one in the Spirit We are one in the Lord We are one in the Spirit We a

*9pm*  *Our prayer point for the hour is-* Let's pray for peace, for without peace it will be difficult to function. May the Lord of peace Himself give us an everlasting peace, in every place. May the Lord be with all of us. Blessed are the peacemakers, they shall be called the sons of God.  *Our Text for the hour is-* John 14:27 Peace I leave for you; my Peace I give to you. Not in the way that the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, and let it not fear.  *Let's Ponder on-* Luke 19: 42 "If only you had known, indeed even in this your day, which things are for your peace. But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will overtake you. And your enemies will encircle you with a valley. And they will surround you and hem you in on every side. Isaiah 32: 18 And my people will be seated in the beauty of peacefulness, and in the tabernacles of faithfulness, and in the opulence of restfulness.  *Our Song for the hour i

*8pm*  *Our Prayer point for the hour is-* Let's pray for God to grant us long life full of His blessings and purpose. Lord You are the giver of life  *Our Text for the hour is-* Acts 20:24 But I dread none of these things. Neither do I consider my life to be more precious because it is my own, provided that in some way I may complete my own course and that of the ministry of the Word, which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God.  *Let's Ponder on-* Ecclesiastes 9: 4 There is no one who lives forever, or who even has confidence in this regard. A living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they themselves will die, yet truly the dead know nothing anymore, nor do they have any recompense. For the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Likewise, love and hatred and envy have all perished together, nor have they any place in this age and in the work which is done under the sun. 7 So then, go and eat your bread w

And I will offer mercy to whomever I will pity." 16 Therefore, it is not based on those who choose, nor on those who excel, but on God who takes pity. *Our Song for the hour is-* I have made You too small in my eyes O Lord, forgive me I have believed in a lie That You were unable to help me But now, O Lord, I see my wrong Heal my heart and show Yourself strong And in my eyes and with my song O Lord, be magnified O Lord, be magnified Be magnified, O Lord You are highly exalted And there is nothing You can't do O Lord, my

THIS IS A COPIED POST FROM A SOURCE NOT KNOWN AT THE TIME OF POSTING IT HERE ON TLF BLOG *Die empty*  One of the most beautiful book to read is "Die Empty" by Todd Henry.  The author was inspired and got this idea of writing this book while attending a business meeting. When the director asked the audience: "Where is the richest land in the world?"  One of the audience answered: "Oil-rich Gulf states." Another added: "Diamond mines in Africa."  Then the director said: "No it is the cemetery.  Yes, it is the richest land in the world, because millions of people have departed, "they have died" and they carried many valuable ideas that did not come to light and benefited others. It is all in the cemetery where they are buried."  Inspired by this answer, Todd Henry wrote his book "Die empty."  Where he did his best to motivate people to pour out their ideas and potential energies in their communitie

Fathers are the ones called to work for their families.  Adam was to till the ground.  We as co-heirs with Jesus now have supernatural favour to receive every good thing from God.  New men in Christ can now work and cater for their families without fear of drought, attack from the canker worm or enemies planting tares.  Men in Christ are loving husbands and responsible fathers. They are good sons and sons-in-law and neighbours and colleagues.  They lead their families to church to fellowship with other brethren and not neglect their gathering.  They lead prayers at home and on the way as they nurture their families.  They do not fight or beat their wives and neither do they abuse their children.  In applying the proverb of don't spare the rod in order not to spoil the child, they are able to discipline their children in loving ways without sowing seeds of hate, vengeance and stubbornness.  They don't spend their money on alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, snuff, gambling or

Today is 14th June and its World Blood Donor Day  [WHO]  (WHA Resolution 58.13) In April we had Health as our theme and all such issues relating to health including blood donation were all included for discussion and action. However, I'd like to re-emphasise the issue of blood donation. You may not have so much food, drink, clothes, shoes, money, books, stories, experiences and other things to share but after being checked and asked questions you may have blood to give freely to those who are in hospitals, accident victims or those who need blood for medical reasons. We have NBTS centres where we can walk into and donate blood and encourage others to. Remember give to Caesar what is he's and to God what is to God. Don't let any fear, suspicion, cultural or religious misunderstanding keep you away, unless you are advised against donating by the staff of NBTS. Even some doctors wrongly discourage blood donation. I and a number of my relatives have at one time or th

Work #week 2

It's said that Internet fraud is also like any other profession but 3 things- 1. Internet scam is a crime not a profession! What are the qualifications and from where are they obtained? 2. If anything Internet scam, yahoo, yahoo plus diabolism are still illegal ways of obtaining money, items from people who give them out with a different intention as that of the receiver/fraudsters. If it's justifiable and a way out of poverty, joblessness and want, more 'unguided youths' will consider it as a viable work option. Forget the camouflaged executive escorts and corporate ones we see in workplaces and campuses and even on the internet. They are all the same! 3. I know that there are several ways one can make legitimate money via the Internet. We even now have online shops and advert platforms, where if you have goods and offer services you can get patronage. Or if you can draw, write, take great photos and so much more. Even forex and mutual funds! What's
At TLF we encourage members, trustees and everyone to work and have a source of legitimate income. From work we cease being idle, lazy and liabilities.  From work we can be responsible family people and,  From work we can contribute to charity and social development. But if you work, earn and don't give back as charity or by way of social development, you risk being like the rich man in the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus, or like the Rich man who had a great harvest and wanted to only build bigger barns. We are blessed to be blessings.  #Work #June TLF loves you and appreciates all those who work with us and those who labour in love for our course. God bless you.

*OUR WEEKLY OUTLINE*  Mondays - General Counselling and Prayers  *we would agree that there is an increase in wrong decisions being taken by many with regards life and death when things don't go well. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from like minded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith.  Tuesdays - Seminars and Workshops  *based on our monthly theme we have different sub-themes from which we need to address and formulate action plans as a group. These seminars and workshops also provide opportunities to have filmshows. The effect of having audio-visual meetings can't be overestimated.  Wednesdays - Ecumenism in Music  *by bringing people together who have interest in music, we provide in our immediate community, the opportunity for people to sing, have spoken word poetry, learn with the few musical instruments- we have and understand the power of influence music has in every sector of t

It's said that prostitution is the oldest profession but 3 things- 1. Prostitution is not a profession! What are the qualifications and from where are they obtained? 2. If anything prostitution is still illegal in several countries. If it's taxable and encouraged, more 'lazy youths' will consider it as a viable work option. Forget the camouflaged executive escorts and corporate ones we see in workplaces and campuses and even on the internet. They are all the same! 3. I'd think that farming, estate management or animal husbandry should be the oldest professions or among those considered among the first considering that Adam was put in a garden! What's your profession, trade, vocation or handiwork? Is it honourable? Can you boldly pass it on to your children or consider others to do? Is it legal? Does it please God? #June
UN Days for June that we are concentrating on throughout the year in TLF under various themes are - UNITED NATIONS  This day is observed by the United Nations. The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization. On occasion, these celebrations are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc., when they concern issues that fall within the scope of their competencies. Some of them may be later adopted by the General Assembly.  1 June Global Day of Parents  (A/RES/66/292)   3 June World Bicycle Day (A/RES/72/272)  4 June International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression  (A/RES/ES-7/8)  5 June World Environment Day (A/RES/2994 (XXVII))
