Our End of Year Party

Beloved, There is no One like God Almighty No one can be like Him. As a testimony of all that happened at our penultimate activity for the year- our children’s party I'll pray that you join me to THANK GOD ALMIGHTY. Firstly, a couple of people who said they'll be there did not turn up. I had no plans on collecting the food but Mummy Akpofure's car developed a problem and she could not bring it. On a personal note there was no light to iron my TLF T-shirt.  We had not had light since 24th December. The electrician meant to connect our generator did not return on time after mobilising him with all the money we had. The drinks I'd kept in a freezer to chill had not blocked the way I wanted. The ultimate of them all was that my external hard drive containing all my documents, the data I'd have to use for the children with the projector, and it's older brother another hard drive I'm  use as back up became unreadable! I said I

Merry Christmas

Beloved happy Christmas, To our mothers in the house you can imagine the labour pains Mary had started experiencing and now given birth. The angels had concluded their rehearsals and now singing. The shepherds had made plans for tomorrow like any other day but now experienced a divine encounter. The wise men were busy studying, observing and contemplating now following a star. Herod was busy gloating soon will soon shiver. Joseph was busy making arrangements and now Jesus is born to come as the One the world eagerly expected and longed for, to save the world. So how are we celebrating Christmas? The mass of Christ, the day set aside from 366 days to mark the birth of our Saviour? No matter the turkey, chicken, rice, oil, dress, shoe, money, and others we have or do other have, Christmas will come and the heavens and earth shall sing and celebrate because that's exactly what happened on the first Christmas!  Joseph and Mary had no bags of rice, Christmas clothes or shoe. But Jesus w

Who belongs here, TLF

Season's greetings, Depending on where you are, the season of Christmas and New Year is already in the air. Okay not just the harmattan and dryness. We need to hydrate more and use more ointments be you male or female! We recognise that people are experiencing various other seasons in their lives- Some just got engaged, got married, had a baby, got a new job, got a promotion, got transferred, got a new home, and so on. Some others have loved ones on admission in the hospital, incarcerated in prison, stranded in foreign countries, kidnapped, in debt, in the midst of false fraudulent cases, or facing threat to life, business, health or academic pursuit. But whatever we are going through, please let's be reminded of the awesome power of God. The power, mercy and love of God far exceeds all life throws at us and gives us, the good and the bad. From An August Experience

Goodmorning beloved of God, I travelled recently with a military man in our bus. He's a captain and he said his wife is heavily pregnant. But he had to leave Ughelli en route Abuja to Maiduguri. He was carrying foodstuffs and in particular half bag of garri. He said he used to fly initially but when he considered the cost, it was consuming almost half of his salary. We talked some more and I was reminded of our visit to an IDP camp some time back. Just as soldiers are having it rough at the war front combating terrorists in parts of Nigeria, those whose villages, towns and cities have been ransacked and attacked are even in a deeper dilemma. The sad thing is that many people feel someok else out there somewhere will help. But when we all think that why nothing gets done. I asked them at the IDP if they had been visited by their reps, councillors and leaders from Borno, Adamawa or Yobe,  they said no. So where do we go to to get donations in cash, relief materials and temporary re

Viola's Nuggets

Hi there, If you have a daughter or a sister who's grown, always check on them. Give them money now and then to buy pads, under wears, and maybe toiletries. Females sometimes would never ask for these things from us, but they genuinely need them. They might ask from the wrong persons. If you have friends/relations who are students, call them sometimes, check on them. If you have #500 or #1000  give them. Life as a student sometimes gets really tough. Your kind gestures to them, goes a long way in helping them keep to a positive line. Men, if you have friends who are currently jobless, call them sometimes in solidarity. When going for a hair cut or shave sometimes, make them come along to get a hair cut or shaved too, while you pay. When recharging your phone, do recharge theirs too.  It may be nothing to you but sure means a lot to a jobless or poor fellow. Their ego wouldn't allow them to ask for it. When your friends are into business, patronize and support them even

From our whatsapp platform

The TLF whatsapp group actually started since 27th November 2016. We have other channels, physical, print and electronic media. There have been many challenging times and times of turning back for a couple of people. One major problem was the direction of TLF. One major question people ask and I'm almost tired of answering, with examples, words and pictures is "what is TLF about?" One more time- Tina Love Foundation (TLF) is an offshoot of what I did for 9 years between 1996 and 2005, giving because I was given and I had to give. We all give in fantastic ways every minute and every day. Sometimes deliberately, out of our ways or spontaneously. I learnt to give from many situations, people and programmes. By January 1st 2005 I asked God what He wanted me to do about what I was doing. I was given a mission, vision, theme and a verse. But had no team. Mission- to inspire, motivate and encourage people in ways that lead them to their God given life's purpose.

Life Important Lessons. (Modified) - - - - - She asked a question in a general group on WhatsApp. I responded to the question professionally. She tagged my response and typed: "you're an idiot" I replied: "Thanks so much, now that you point my attention to this idiotic part of me, I'll surely work on it, God bless you my dear..." And the whole place shook. Over 118 people commented and were so surprised by my response. Of course she was terribly bashed to the extent that she left the group. An hour later she called me to apologise for her stupidity bla bla bla. We became friends. On my birthday last year, she and her husband gave me a gift worth a lot. This was a year after she called me an idiot. Lessons from it. 1. Your reaction to negative feedbacks  or situations shows how mature you have. 2. You have the power of choice whenever anybody does or says anything to you. 3. If someone calls you anything negative and you lose yourself and begin

Satan's lies have a little truth mixed in, which makes them harder to recognise. We need to refute them by saturating ourselves with the truth. It's only by learning the Scriptures that we can sort them out. - Anne Peterson Goodmorning loved children of God, Do you wonder how you would have been able to cope with your successes or handle your challenges if you did not allow yourself to recognise and enjoy the love of God? But sadly, not many people are enjoying this knowledge you have of God's love! Many are carried away by the lies of the devil because the circumstances of their lives- failed health, loss of loved ones and benefactors, no education, no customers, job loss, no job, no child, no spouse, no money, no friend, no help, no donors, and so on. But the truth is, if you are a child of God, you are inscribed on the palms of God. This is written in the book of Isaiah. But how can we know this if we do not read the Bible. One of the birthday gifts I got this yea

Goodmorning beloved of God, Our giving should not just be about sowing a seed for God to give us something, but as an act of gratitude to God. We must not give God our leftovers or what others gave and we don't want! We must give God our best. When you understand the love of God, giving will be a humble act full of joy and freewill. Yesterday I'd the opportunity through one of us Divine, to give some tracts to a man who usually goes on to give out to people in his environment. This morning he asked for more and I invited him to donate towards our printing more! Our materials are almost exhausted and we were able to get them from the contribution of others. People have donated money to print tracts, buy Bibles, books and other items. When I started giving out items I was like a re-distributor! I got tracts, Bibles and books free to give out. But as time went by I was led to contribute to these ministries and NGOs who make these things freely available- Tract House, Grace

This Week

Goodmorning beloved of God, Wishing you a happy new work and school week. God's blessings be upon us all. We join those celebrating to celebrate and we are with those who are going through challenges and are mourning. Our prayers goes to us all for we are a team. Excerpts from the devotional The Word for Today, teaches us about the "Gift of leadership"  ```'If it is to lead, do it diligently.' Romans 12:8```  We are all leaders to some extent. When we persuade or encourage someone else to do something, we've led them. But God calls some of us specifically into leadership roles, with a clear ability to lead others. The Bible says: 'We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is...to lead, do it diligently.'  A good leader knows where God wants them to go, and is able to show others the value of going with them. They're more interested in the people they're called to lead than in themselves. They a

Happy new week beloved of God, Life is like a tug of war. But God is not on one side pulling, we are the ones on one side filled with the Holy Spirit while the devil and his agents are on the other side. Satan is no match for God. He has been put under the footstool of Jesus. At best Satan wrestles with angels of God sent to reinforce and enforce God’s command. It's war! Like in every tug of war, there is a line to cross. When the rope is pulled by one side across the line, they are seen as being stronger and being the winners. But Jesus has told us many things for us to win: 1. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." 2. Paul reminds us that we are more than conquerors. 3. We also know that the battle is the Lord’s. 4. Again know that we wrestle not human beings as we see them with our natural eyes, but the principalities, powers and demons

THE WINSOMENESS OF HOLINESS

Max Lucado A Jewish couple were arguing over the name to give their firstborn. They finally asked the rabbi to come and intercede. "What is the problem?" the rabbi asked. The wife spoke first. "He wants to name the boy after his father, and I want to name the boy after my father." "What is your father's name?" he asked the man. "Joseph." "And what is your father's name?" he asked the woman. "Joseph." The rabbi was stunned. "So, what is the problem?" It was the wife who spoke again. "His father was a horse thief, and mine was a righteous man. How can I know my son is named after my father and not his?" The rabbi thought and then replied, "Call the boy Joseph. Then see if he is a horse thief or a righteous man. You will know which father's name he bears." To call yourself a child of God is one thing. To be called a child of God by those who watch your life is anothe

Goodday beloved of God, I pray your day goes well to the end. My data expires 19th September so I decided to browse YouTube. Alas the videos I saw where truly terrible and explicit. The internet became really popular in my part of growing up just about 1999 or there about. By 2002/2003 when GSM came and internet enabled phones started sneaking into the public market as at 2006, the world wide web was truly open. I noticed back then with my Nokia 6230i the free sites were those of pornography and church of Satan! I never entered those sites to the glory of God, but what of many others? I believe that when a child is properly equipped with the right instructions, moral lessons, dignity of the family name, faith, doctrines and what have you, that child can cope with whatever storms life throws at him. Children will not always be their comfort zones, sheltered homes or familiar environment. So they need to be well grounded in their faith and principles before they are launched out

20 WAYS TO SHOW COURTESY

Some of us really need to know some of this things. 1. Don't you ever put a video call accross or a social media call to someone especially a stranger at anytime or at an ungodly hour without seeking their permission. You don't know where they are at the time you're calling. Don't you! 2.In case you miss a call, drop a message as soon as possible if you're unable to call back and Reply messages that are sent to you. Everyone counts. 3. Pay back borrowed money as soon as possible no matter how little the amount is. Don't assume they don't need it, and never make them ask you for it. There will always be a next time. 4. Turn the volume down when you're watching video, playing music or playing a game on your phone in a public place or, better use headphones. 5. Don't press your phone or use headphones when someone is having a conversation with you. Especially your elders. It's a sign of disregard and disrespect. Unplug the headsets from you

Beloved of God, special early morning greetings. Happy new week and have a lovely Sunday. I wonder why the Bible says that it is better to stay on a rooftop and eat vegetables with a family where there is love than to stay in a castle with rich food where there is no love? Isn't it possible to be in a castle and have love😊? God is not against wealth, riches or castles. I believe God Who blesses us with such things as wealth, riches or castles, wants us to be blessings to others; to be humble, content, grateful, generous, open doors to those who can't repay, and acknowledge Him in everything. God shows mercy on those He chooses to show mercy on. Do not envy, hate or despise those who have more than you do and who think you work harder than or know more than. It's that simple- silver and gold belong to God and He will give to those He desires, no force, as long as you want it from God🤷🏼‍♀! Public Appeal

Goodmorning beloved, This is a message to be forwarded, shared and responded to pretty please As many can imagine, NGOs and other Charities often get financial appeals from people in need. Be it for health, education, basic needs such as feeding, clothing and even housing. We do not have all the money we need as running cost or even to help those who seek our help financially. This is why we reach out. I am reaching out today as I have always done at times like this to ask for your kind, freewill and faith donation. All monies received by Tina Love Foundation  (TLF) is held and utilised in Trust for the purposes given for. Presently, we have a need of N10million for a final year Ambrose Alli University student, Tina by name whose kidneys have failed and needs transplant in India. Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS) is currently helping to raise/coordinate the funds. Hence the account name and number is that of their staff representative- Daisy Osunde Guaranty Trust Bank GTB 00
Goodmorning God's beloved, Join me to pray this prayer: HOLY LORD God, thank You for leaving us Your inspired Word, the Bible. Help us to read it carefully, interpret it correctly, and apply it enthusiastically in our lives. In Jesus name, amen. Did we know that, God’s Word is the only sure foundation for life? (Our Daily Bread) Imagine a world without the Bible? We'd all be our own authority. Some weeks ago I went for a former classmate's mother's burial reception. I met some other former classmates of ours that I'd not seen in over 10 years since our graduation. After the event, we all went back together and got stuck in traffic because of the heavy rain. While the owner of the car/driver was not a former classmate of ours, and so dealt with how we'd get out of the traffic, the rest of us talked at length about several issues. One issue that we trashed that came to my mind again just yesterday was the issue of someone's opinion to life's situati

Beloved of God, I received this message from a friend called Ify via whatsapp this evening and thought to share.  It is a mistake to think time is going. Time is not going.  Time is here until the world ends. It is you and I who are going.  You don’t waste time. Time is infinite. One wastes him or herself.  You are finite. It is you that grows old and dies. Time doesn’t. So make better use of it.  And one of the worst things to do with time is comparing yourself to others.  A cow eats grass and gets fat but if dog eats grass, it will die.  Never compare yourself with others.  Run your race.  What works for one person may be that which will kill you.  Focus on the gifts and talents God gave you. And don’t be envious of the blessings He gave others.  If a rose smells better than tomatoes, It doesn't mean the rose can make a better stew.   Don't try to compare yourself to others.   You also have your own strength, look for it and build on it.
