Goodday beloved of God,

I pray your day goes well to the end.
My data expires 19th September so I decided to browse YouTube. Alas the videos I saw where truly terrible and explicit.

The internet became really popular in my part of growing up just about 1999 or there about. By 2002/2003 when GSM came and internet enabled phones started sneaking into the public market as at 2006, the world wide web was truly open.
I noticed back then with my Nokia 6230i the free sites were those of pornography and church of Satan!
I never entered those sites to the glory of God, but what of many others? I believe that when a child is properly equipped with the right instructions, moral lessons, dignity of the family name, faith, doctrines and what have you, that child can cope with whatever storms life throws at him.

Children will not always be their comfort zones, sheltered homes or familiar environment. So they need to be well grounded in their faith and principles before they are launched out. Like the mother eagle who literally pushes her eaglets out of her nest, child must go and soar.
You did not teach your child to disrespect his elders, rape a girl, steal from the handicapped, fight a man, sleep with a boy, smoke marijuana, sniff cocaine, abuse alcohol, dress nude, draw tattoos, enter into blood covenants, join cults and sorority, or be lazy towards work.
But when all these manifest and rear their ugly heads where do you point to? Without knowing the root cause of a thing, you can't successfully uproot the stomp of a problem. Why do we care about the source of a river or the depth of a tree?

Jesus says a house built on a rock can't be moved. The psalms say a tree planted by the river can't dry or fade, but will prosper.
Are you a parent? Are you a senior? Are you in a position of authority? Please help children who are coming up.
Truth be told, we who are now adults had one or four people who counselled and guided us. So why do we now leave children to the internet? We buy them tabs and phones saying it's for educational purposes. Now many are easily anxious when separated from these devices. And when theye do have their iPhones or Androids in their hands, they become fixated on the screens! What a shame and waste? What a life? Junk living and information overload.

We subscribe to cable for them to watch productive things on TV. We put passwords and parental controls, but what goes wrong? Why are they still attracted to the devilish things the internet and cable TV has to offer?
I don't know. All I know is that they need guidance. Once they fall, it will take more prayers, time, energy and finance to help redeem, if we ever can! Now many are championing against -
drug abuse,
promiscuity,
internet fraud,
love for money over good name, hardwork or education,
immoral fashion choices,
faithlessness, new found religions, gods of men worship, atheism,
and
many other new trends killing the society.
But until we face the root cause, sever the head of the snake, block the opening in the hedge the snake cripped into, find the book of life (The bible) and abide by it, and invite the Holy Spirit to take control of our homes, children, society and life's exposures, then we'll be making the same mistakes repeatedly u till the vicious cycle consumes what's left of a decent, upright, normal a d functional society.

Our vision is to see a society sensible, sensitive and loving.

*“A wise person is hungry for knowledge, while the fool feeds on trash” (Proverbs 15:14).
Applying the wisdom of God’s Word to life, we can ask ourselves: Do we check our social networks compulsively throughout the day? What does that say about the things we hunger for? And do the things we read or view online encourage sensible living (vv. 16–21), or are we feeding on trash—gossip, slander, materialism, or sexual impurity? As we yield to the work of the Holy Spirit, we can fill our minds with things that are “true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable” (Philippians 4:8). By God’s wisdom we can make good choices that honor Him.*

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers. You too can organise such a wonderful event. In TLF we inspire...

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
