From our whatsapp platform

The TLF whatsapp group actually started since 27th November 2016.
We have other channels, physical, print and electronic media.

There have been many challenging times and times of turning back for a couple of people.
One major problem was the direction of TLF.
One major question people ask and I'm almost tired of answering, with examples, words and pictures is "what is TLF about?"

One more time-
Tina Love Foundation (TLF) is an offshoot of what I did for 9 years between 1996 and 2005, giving because I was given and I had to give. We all give in fantastic ways every minute and every day. Sometimes deliberately, out of our ways or spontaneously. I learnt to give from many situations, people and programmes.
By January 1st 2005 I asked God what He wanted me to do about what I was doing. I was given a mission, vision, theme and a verse. But had no team.

Mission- to inspire, motivate and encourage people in ways that lead them to their God given life's purpose.
Vision- in order to see the society more sensible, sensitive and loving.
Theme- the ultimate law is love.
Verse- better to put your trust in God than in princes and kings (man) Psalm 118:8

By August 27th 2010 TLF was registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission. Now by law, TLF is different and stands independent of its Founder. It's now a legal entity capable of doing its own thing. When TLF gives its the collective effort, donation and intention of its trustees, friends and donors. If Tina has what she wants to give its her personal doing not TLF.

Sadly many people do not appreciate the difference and the set up of the Foundation. TLF is not Tina. Tina has no love of her own. Love is of God. Anyone running a Charity, NGO or Foundation of self and does not ascribe the work to God is purely concerned with people's welfare, and the alleviation of suffering without nothing more. But in TLF it's not just feeding the 5000 but letting them He the Source of Life and Good- God Almighty. What shall it profit us if we gain/save the world and lose our souls? Clothes, food, water and education are all fleeting no matter how good.

Now TLF is left with 2 broad duties, these are to provide CHARITY to the needy (not just the poor, but anyone in a particular situation of need) and SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT in making the society where we abide a better place.

How now? By giving in cash, kind, our talents on one hand. Also by influencing policies via media broadcasting, publications, seminars, film shows, and workshops. And on the other hand, through vocational training, empowerment, advocacy, counselling, and promotion of like-spirited groups.

What have we done since?
We have, we are and we will be
• visiting prisons, remand homes, hospitals, schools, orphanages, physically and mentally challenged centres, among others.
• distribute books, devotionals, CDs, DVDs, tracts, comics and Bibles.
• published in journals, attended conferences and participated in government and private organised seminars on issues of charity and social development.
• raised funds for people in hospital, UTMExaminations, among others.
• paste posters/notices in several places to create awareness on several issues as well as set up a notice board at a private university as a template for other schools.
• re-distribute clothes, shoes, bags, books, money, among things from benefactors to beneficiaries, TLF being the channel.
• established a temporary centre to provide library, music school, sports centre, arts and crafts class, group circle and counselling centre, filmshow and seminar hub, among others.

TO GOD BE ALL PRAISE, GLORY AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
TLF 💚

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
