This Week

Goodmorning beloved of God,

Wishing you a happy new work and school week.
God's blessings be upon us all.
We join those celebrating to celebrate and we are with those who are going through challenges and are mourning. Our prayers goes to us all for we are a team.

Excerpts from the devotional The Word for Today, teaches us about the "Gift of leadership"
 ```'If it is to lead, do it diligently.' Romans 12:8```
We are all leaders to some extent. When we persuade or encourage someone else to do something, we've led them. But God calls some of us specifically into leadership roles, with a clear ability to lead others. The Bible says: 'We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is...to lead, do it diligently.'
A good leader knows where God wants them to go, and is able to show others the value of going with them. They're more interested in the people they're called to lead than in themselves. They appreciate and understand that each person has specific gifts that need to be developed, so they'll encourage those people to use them. They make up a team and are themselves part of that team.
'Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God...for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News' (Philippians 1:3,5). Whatever the special gift we have been given, God gives us the strength and ability to do what he's calling us to do. We just need to have the courage to take that step and use the gifts he's given us. Ask God which gifts He's given you and pray for the courage to step out and use them.
With special mention of Ephraim, Tunde and Emma, I humbly invite a us all to come with suggestions in how they can join the TLF team. What are your strengths you want to make use of here? In what areas can you help? In the e-forms sent, we listed ways you can be a part of TLF even from a distance in location. What are your weaknesses you need to allow God be strong in? We are here to inspire, motivate and encourage, we have given platforms to people who said they could not speak in public and volunteered to be a resource person at one of our events.
We do not just need a part on the back, good wishes, interest, follow up on our activities and messages on our internet platforms, minitors, donations, words (James 2:16), BUT faith in action, commitment, dedication, know how, awareness and participation, among a few others. While all the former things are good and necessary, the latter things are what we need more.
We thank you even as you join us in approaching 2019 and our new modus operandi. Let's have a team. Be that leader in your home, work, church, society, school or wherever it is you are called to lead, even within TLF!😊🤝🏽👍🏽
Story Time
  Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!
Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers. You too can organise such a wonderful event. In TLF we inspire...
