LET US PONDER The circle of a standard life is pretty much clear-cut. While some may want to rebel against the status quo by doing things at different times in their lives or not doing some things at all, the fact remains that we all have the same circle of life with birth and death being the constants. But there are exceptions. The earth is the farm where we all come and sow and be expected to live out the will of our Creator for our lives. Therefore, when we die, we die to the finite world and rise to life everlasting in the kingdom of our Creator. From our initial birth to death lies the destination of our eternity. Whether one drives, drinks, swims, marries, schools, works, travels, shops, sees, walks, gets beaten, killed, awards or jailed, well you get the picture?! No matter how bubbling your life is or how docile and dry, it will end on a day I do not know, you may not know, diviners do not know, soothsayers do not know!   No matter what you do or not do between birth a

LET US PONDER Since the society, potential employers, even in-laws, the electorate and government appointed offices expect one to have at least a post-secondary educational qualification, many people are going through schools without it going through them, just for them to obtain the ‘paper’! Every degree comes in paper certificate! In as much as most people would further be proved and tested by oral interviews and conversational skills to know their real    worth, the fact still remains that the education we have now is only in form of paper certificates and title. Many illiterate people still have common sense and wild general knowledge, while many lettered people have stereotypes and area-narrowed views (hardly will you see an Economics graduate knowing about Engineering, or a doctor knowing about philosophy, or an English or Foreign language student knowing anything about Biochemistry). Blessed be the Lord God for the gift of art. It is not just in the drawing but in the message passed. Our subject matter of the month is 'Education'. LET US PONDER When we hear of harvest naturally our minds go to farm products- plants and animals! Since the majority of people now prefer white collar jobs, many people are not into farming. So during harvest at this time of the year, many people bring crops and livestock bought from the market. There is no problem. But harvest really is a time when the Owner of the vineyard comes to check His investments and see if it is worth giving it another shot to live and exist. If the vines are not doing well, the Vinedresser prunes, manures, waters, just to keep them going. If all these prove abortive, the Owner cuts it down. No farmer goes into farming to play, but to sow and reap and improve on species for better consumption! What is your harvest oh you lawyer, mother, doctor, investment banker, son, teacher, father, driver, daughter, pilot? Whatever we bring before God every year should be modelled after Abel not Cain- give your all, give a good and acceptable gift this harvest!

LET US PONDER Bearing in mind that children are gifts from God, let us know that those cute little babies can either grow to be God’s people or children of evil. What they become has a lot of what we invest in them. We, parents and the society, schools and churches, have the responsibility of moulding, training and guarding these children. They can be made or marred. When they are adults then they have responsibilities for themselves based on the foundation you have set for them to build on. If we have a failed society now it is because the generation before now saw it coming and did nothing! If you cannot be responsible for that child under your care, please ask God for help. To the glory of God Almighty, we are celebrating the anniversary of our incorporation! On the 27th of August 2010 our certificate of incorporation was handed over to us by the Corporate Affairs Commission. We continue to appreciate all those who started with us in TLF since 1st January 2005 to 27th August 2010 to date. Our phases have been very eventful, exciting, edifying and glorious.   LET US PONDER Many of us party hard, study hard, and do lots of things to build our legacies, histories, memories and what we would make reference to in future among our children, subordinates, peers and biographers. But what history are we writing to tell Jesus on our judgment day. You may tell your son, ‘Do you think you can smoke and I will not know because you licked candy sweets afterwards?
