Our End of Year Party

Beloved,

There is no One like God Almighty
No one can be like Him.

As a testimony of all that happened at our penultimate activity for the year- our children’s party I'll pray that you join me to THANK GOD ALMIGHTY.

Firstly, a couple of people who said they'll be there did not turn up.
I had no plans on collecting the food but Mummy Akpofure's car developed a problem and she could not bring it.
On a personal note there was no light to iron my TLF T-shirt.
We had not had light since 24th December.
The electrician meant to connect our generator did not return on time after mobilising him with all the money we had.
The drinks I'd kept in a freezer to chill had not blocked the way I wanted.
The ultimate of them all was that my external hard drive containing all my documents, the data I'd have to use for the children with the projector, and it's older brother another hard drive I'm  use as back up became unreadable!

I said I must keep calm. I remember I'd posted here the day before 27th that I was not going to be stressed whatsoever especially since I had a family engagement afterwards.

First set of miracles from God -
God sent people especially Ik who came to help.
Just that morning I received donations from Mummies- Ngozi and Ovie.
I paid the electrician the entire money donated by Laura and Ik, meant for diesel. I decided instead to pay for that myself.
The electrician came and after fixing what he bought could not power the Centre with the generator through the change over! All what he had bought were now of no use as he had to connect the generator to the main switch cutting me off from PHCN!
Generator could not be placed far and being diesel, the noise almost overshadowed the sound of music.
I wore my t-shirt like that and it straightened out by itself.
I had to ask Ik to use Keke Tricycle to collect the food and as many children also with mummy Akpofure. Mummy Akpofure had to trek all the way to the Centre in the Harmattan sun and in her health condition.
The drinks had to be quickly put in a cooler with a few ice blocks we could get.
Then as for data, we had to look for flash drives where we may get so e content and I was happy I found.

Second set of miracles -
After returning home almost 8.30pm on the 27th I realised when the general generator for the compound was turned on, only our Centre had no light. The electrician who had told/taught us how to connect back to PHCN had unknowingly cut us off from that source. There we where alone without light with left o er food we had to preserve. Up till past 10am we were transferring our things to other people's freezers and looking for another electrician to help. Ik had to call a former classmate faraway abroad who told him what to do and around past 10, the Centre's light was restored. We had to go get back our edibles, only for the central generator to be turned off at 10.30pm.
Well as I type this PHCN has restored our light for the first time since 11,59pm 24th December 2018 (yes I was awake!).
Last night I checked YouTube videos on how to fix damaged external hard drives and downloaded some videos. I prayed with the verse of Philippians urging us not to be anxious for anything anyone with the words of Jesus Himself Who said we should ask in faith anything in His name and He will grant it.
I tried what I learnt from the YouTube videos and boom my external drive is working again. God be praised, God be praised, there is no one like God.
I also received another donation from Mummy Sege and as we write we are not in debt. So many people sacrificed and said we don't need to refund what they spent.
I have light to iron! We are growing our funds against 2019. Our data for TLF 2019 activities is safely restored.
What more can I say? Thank You Jesus.
I appreciate everyone. Those who did not drop o e kobo, come, or call but went on their knees and our their beds turning to God in prayers for the success of the day. Their prayers can never be equated to anything physical. What ever set back was cancelled. For those who didn't necessarily pray they called and came before and after to the Centre to check on us. God bless us all. I believe this is how we should operate. Give what you can. It could be in intercession, advice, manpower, money, time, sacrifice, items and all. All these we experienced at this co clouded Children’s Party. God be praised.

Now the ultimate activity for TLF for the year 2019 is our tract sharing tomorrow and poster pasting for continuous awareness in and around our community.
God willing by Tuesday 1st 2019 we would begin our new structure. Our activities for 2019 will be revealed as God wills and our parts will be shared for us to accept or decline. Our friends, trustees, members and others will be clearly spelt out.

We thank God for His greatness. The memories of January 1st 2005 still remain fresh when TLF started for the first time to be operational after its pilot run between 1996 and 2004. All glory to God. It's been God. I thank God. But remember Jesus gives 3 charges and these I want to share as my last message for the year 2018 after which a few of our pictures will be pasted.

#Charge 1
Jesus asks when I was hungry, thirsty, naked, homeless, needy did you help?

#Charge 2
Jesus says not all who say Lord Lord; we healed, preached, did great things in your name, will enter heaven. Even Paul says that if you give your body even to be burned and you lack love, you gain nothing.

#Charge 3
Jesus says that what shall we gain if we gain the world and lose our souls? If you gain popularity,  respect, accolades, acknowledgments, fame, money, friends and supporters, with good legacies but fail to be justified by faith in Jesus and receive eternal life what have you gained?

We continue in our lives, families, school, work, charities, churches, societies, environments, aspirations and all, may God approve of us and say at our passing from this year and our final passing from this world, "this is my beloved in whom I'm well pleased. Now enter into the home of your heavenly Father!" Amen.

I love you, We love you, God loves us all.

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

UN Days for the Month of June.

The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization. Usually, it is one or more Member States that propose these observances and the General Assembly establishes them with a resolution. On occasion, these celebrations are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc., when they concern issues that fall within the scope of their competencies. Some of them may be later adopted by the General Assembly. 1 June Global Day of Parents   3 June World Bicycle Day  4 June International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression   5 June World Environment Day  5 June International Day for the Fight against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing  8 June World Oceans Day   12 June World Day Against Child Labour 13 June International Albinism Awarene...

Thank God For The End Of Our mid-Year Crossover Prayers For 2025

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day, as we continue this second half of this year. I thank You for our  being able to see and to hear this morning. We’re blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for us  and You keep on blessing us . Forgive us  this day for everything we  have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. We  ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep us  safe from all danger and harm. Help us  to start this day and second half of the year 2025 with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let us  make the best of each and every day to clear our  mind s  so that we  can hear from You. Please broaden our  mind s  that we  can accept all things. Let us  not whine and whimper over things we  have no control over. Let us  continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when we  sin, let us  repent, and confes...
