Prayer:

DEAR GOD,

WE,

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven, and you upon earth; therefore let your words be few.

Praise:

I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH

BY

DON MOEN

I am the God that healeth thee

I am the Lord, your Healer

I sent My Word and healed your disease

I am the Lord, your Healer (I am the God)

I am the God that healeth thee

I am the Lord, your Healer (I sent My Word)

I sent My Word and I healed your disease

I am the Lord, your Healer

[Spoken]

You know, in the name of Jesus we have everything we need

And just as we've sung about Him as Jehovah Jireh, our Provider

He is Jehovah Rapha the God that heals us

His name is more powerful than cancer, heart disease or any disease you can name

Whatever your need, He's here to heal you

Let's confess Him as our Healer as we sing, "You are the God that healeth me!"

[Chorus]

You are the God (That healeth me) that healeth me

(Oh, You are the Lord, my Healer) You are the Lord, my Healer

You sent Your Word and healed my disease

You are the Lord, my Healer (You are the God)

You are the God (That healeth me) that healeth me

You are the Lord, my Healer (Thank God, oh, You sent Your Word)

You sent Your Word and healed my disease

You are the Lord, my Healer

Petition:

THAT IN THE FALLEN STATE AND SICKNESS OF THE WORLD, WE STAND AS INTERCESSORS AND PRAY FOR THE SICK, STAND AGAINST EVIL POLICIES, LAWS AND VALUES THAT DESTROY LIFE, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, AND BROADCAST INFORMATION THAT PROMOTE GOD'S PLAN AND WILL FOR CREATION.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Why Do You Smoke?

6 personalized approaches to quitting forever.  Everyone smokes—and quits—for different reasons, and the key to getting smoke-free for life is to find out why you are smoking and then change those behaviors. If you are a Recreational or Social Smoker, you may feel that your limited smoking poses no serious medical harm to yourself or others. You may, however, ignore warning signs that your occasional smoking is progressing into addiction, especially during periods of stress or increased alcohol use. A periodic review of these warning signs may help motivate you to consider becoming smoke-free. The Scared-to-Quit Smoker has no end of reasons (excuses) to put off going smoke-free to some future date. Sometimes it helps to focus on just quitting for one day. If you can quit for a day, you can quit every day. This realization can be a great confidence builder, and helps to decrease your fears about not smoking “ever again.” Forever is too big a word for many addicts; thus the old adage...
