Beloved of God,

As part of our theme for this month, there will a visit to the Correctional Service (formerly referred to as Prison) at Oko tomorrow Friday 14th, 2020.
The Honourable Attorney General of the state will be there.
It is 8.45 am.

This visit is geared towards harvesting more cases for the NBA through its Public Defender Committee to defend indigent inmates with an eye to decongesting the Correctional Services.

This time last year TLF was privileged to participate in full both at the Prison, Remand Home and the High Court and Magistrate Court.

Now this year 2020 we have another opportunity in our month of _Social Justice_ to participate again in collaboration with NBA.

Note that transport fares and other logistics do not come from TLF's purse as we have to be extremely prudent to manage our resources. We are hereby encouraged to support in prayers, goodwill, re-broadcast to any Social Worker, Lawyer or Prison Officer you know who can support our work here in TLF this month. Any donations we are able to receive outside what we have in our TLF purse will be used for this purpose of social justice.

God is good.
We celebrate Stella and Patience who both mark their glorious birthdays today. These are 2 wonderful women we celebrate and can't wait to share their stories to _I.M.E_ you and I and indeed everyone.

We also thank again Azuka for her kind donation, the first for the year aside my yearly dues.
We thank God for enabling us to share writing pens and pencils to all the teachers and some select classes in the Public Primary School close to us. We hope to extend this gesture to the Secondary school near us also, even with more items. As last year we did even more and to more schools.

We celebrate with our brother Victor Kolo who recently married and also our sister Jessica.
We also pray for the good health of our brother Victor Eguare who helps us with copies of the Word for Today devotionals.

We are not living in a bubble and acknowledge all the things that have been going on in the country, in its politics, governance, justice system and legislative activities; the mayhem, insurgency and wanton killings, mass migration and increasing poverty, hardship, immorality and wickedness.

♡We must always pray and be prayerful.
♡We must live and lead by example and be the light to the world
♡We must match our words with actions
♡We must dare to be different and stand up stand up for Jesus
♡We must keep eternity in mind and revive each other

Thank you for your interest in TLF, kindly push that interest further and be committed also.
God loves us all.

TLF 💚

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers. You too can organise such a wonderful event. In TLF we inspire...
