Do you wonder why people who do not profess Jesus as Lord are seen and known more to give like free food, free health attention and the likes, or, show support and build social infrastructures like hospitals, schools, zebra crossings, and the likes? While those who say they are children of God are often wicked, vindictive, selective, tight fisted and self-extravagant? The Bible tells us that righteousness is of God.

Righteousness is to do the will of God and God is the Lord of compassion. Anyone who shows sincere compassion like Cornelius (Acts 10) is on his way to salvation in Jesus Christ. But those who claim to be children of God who hoard and lie about their works of love and charity without repenting are on their way to the fate of Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5)!

Don't get it twisted, many who do not believe in God have made it their duty to condemn, judge and pick at our every word and deed done in His name. Their hate comes from the fact that we are trying to impact the society for good in the name of GOD. They do not do the same to those who do it for vainglory, or with illicit funds, or without reference and allegiance to Jesus Christ.

But at TLF the love of Tina is simply and totally the love of God made manifest in all who are involved with TLF as well as Tina. Who can love without God? Who can love more than God? No one! Who is Tina without Jesus Christ? Nothing!

[1 John 3:10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

13 Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.]

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Why Do You Smoke?

6 personalized approaches to quitting forever.  Everyone smokes—and quits—for different reasons, and the key to getting smoke-free for life is to find out why you are smoking and then change those behaviors. If you are a Recreational or Social Smoker, you may feel that your limited smoking poses no serious medical harm to yourself or others. You may, however, ignore warning signs that your occasional smoking is progressing into addiction, especially during periods of stress or increased alcohol use. A periodic review of these warning signs may help motivate you to consider becoming smoke-free. The Scared-to-Quit Smoker has no end of reasons (excuses) to put off going smoke-free to some future date. Sometimes it helps to focus on just quitting for one day. If you can quit for a day, you can quit every day. This realization can be a great confidence builder, and helps to decrease your fears about not smoking “ever again.” Forever is too big a word for many addicts; thus the old adage...
