Pray for Our Donor

Loved of God, Thank God for success in our works of charity and social development. God bless us and bless our endeavours, in Jesus name, amen.  Let's give a shout out to Dr (Mrs) Ify Agbo and her family. Let's celebrate God's grace and mercy upon her life and theirs. Let's pray that she shall be blessed abundantly with God always on her side, in Jesus name, amen Recall that Luke 14:28 says, "For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it -- 29 "lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 "saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' Since we do not have enough money for our budget, for both capital and recurrent expenditure for the Foundation, we are encouraged by Scriptures which says in Zechariah 4:10 that, “Do not despise the days of small beginnings,” for the Lord rejoices to see the work b

ODB Message

“The Daily Prayer” By  Cindy Hess Kasper Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6:18 Singer/songwriter Robert Hamlet wrote “Lady Who Prays for Me” as a tribute to his mother who made a point of praying for her boys each morning before they went to the bus stop. After a young mom heard Hamlet sing his song, she committed to praying with her own little boy. The result was heart-warming! Just before her son went out the door, his mother prayed for him. Five minutes later he returned—bringing kids from the bus stop with him! His mom was taken aback and asked what was going on. The boy responded, “Their moms didn’t pray with them.” In the book of Ephesians, Paul urges us to pray “on all occasions with all kinds of prayers” (6:18). Demonstrating our daily dependence on God is essential in a family since many children first learn to trust God as they observe genuine faith in the people closest to them (2 Tim. 1:5). There is no better way to teach

Her womb fulfills the urge of the sperms' spill. Her womb gives love to the night...  Her womb hugs the night. Her moon covers her womb. She taught many generations not to abuse the pill, but to be for real. Seniors and youth alike are cradled by her sight.  Her bosom holds your food;  her blood feeds you before you taste earth.  Might! Height! makes her visible and indispensable.  She is the

8th of March is International Women's Day.

8th of March is International Women's Day. It is our D-Day for our theme for the month of October. Although Women are majorly celebrated in the month of March, we have decided to harmonise all the days set aside to celebrate women and discuss their issues into one month. Specifically in this month, we have the 11th to mark International Day of the Girl Child and on the 15th we have the celebration of the International Day of Rural Women. We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who carry out activities relating to women and by extension girls, their rights, struggles and unique qualities.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. We invite you to watch Sheryl Sandberg on "Why we have too few women leaders"  Remember Proverbs 31:25. "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."  To the Women! I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his hou

Weekly Outline At Our Centre

MONDAYS - General Counselling and Prayers We would agree that there is an increase in wrong decisions being taken by many with regards life and death when things don't go well. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from likeminded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith. Come for counselling and group circle meetings. TUESDAYS - Seminars and Workshops  Based on our monthly theme we have different sub-themes from which we need to address and formulate action plans as a group. These seminars and workshops also provide opportunities to have film shows. The effect of having audio-visual meetings can't be overestimated. Come we invite you to attend our weekly workshop, seminar or film show. WEDNESDAYS - Ecumenism in Music By bringing people together who have interest in music, we provide in our immediate community, the opportunity for people to sing, have spoken word poetry, and learn with the few musical inst

UN Days for the Month of October

The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization. Usually, it is one or more Member States that propose these observances and the General Assembly establishes them with a resolution. On occasion, these celebrations are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc., when they concern issues that fall within the scope of their competencies. Some of them may be later adopted by the General Assembly. 1 October International Day of Older Persons  2 October International Day of Non-Violence   5 October World Teachers’ Day  [UNESCO]  10 October World Mental Health Day [WHO] 11 October International Day of the Girl Child   13 October International Day for Disaster Reduction 15 October International Day of Rural Women 16 October World Food Day  [FAO]   17 October International Day for the Eradi

October Theme is Non-Violence aka Girls to Women

October Theme is Non-Violence aka Girls to Women Our thematic issues for this month is #Non-Violence aka Girls to Women  The issue of violence can spread from domestic issues such as child and spousal violence in the family unit to world issues on violence such as terrorism. But we must realise that both at the domestic level and world level, the child, especially the female child, and women are mostly the victims on the receiving end of all such violence. Violence cuts across several factors. In this month however, as we focus on violence, the prevention thereof and standing against therein, we want to also agitate for the celebration, protection and care of the girl child and women. Thanks  God loves us all. #October  Thanks  God loves us all. TLF💚
