Greetings in love, I trust we are doing fine in our families, work and other endeavours.

I wish us well. I sincerely thank each and everyone of us here and other friends of TLF on our other platforms. A number of people come to our centre to make enquiries about how they too can start their own NGOs, and when I share my experiences since TLF became formal and a Incorporated Trust, they often feel discouraged. Although Jesus told the rich young ruler that he should come and follow him, the young man walked away sad because he considered all he had to give up (Mark 10:21-22).

Some of the people who get discouraged from my "testimonies" often do so because they are not willing to give up on certain things and face the challenges. But in reality, life is full of challenges. Whether or not you are involved in an NGO or not, you would face challenges with your family, health, life, faith, finance, job, colleagues, neighbours, church members and many other aspects of life. So in such instances are we going to walk away discouraged? I'm really going to take up anyone who asks me 'are you still doing your 'TFL or TLF or TCL?' 😁😤

For me the question seems to suggest that at some point in life so far or in future I 'should' give up! But why? Even if I've all the money in the world or none at all. Or all the members in the world or none at all, it is God Who gives the increase and says start or stop, not even me. It is therefore pleasant to acknowledge one of our dear mummies here who this evening still made a very kind donation from the appeal made above concerning our needs in February.

I sincerely ask that we all thank Mrs I. B. Francis for her kind donation. I also received good news that one of us gave birth over the weekend to a lovely baby girl. I'll leave her to share the full gist as she deems ok, but I can't hide my joy! Things are looking up and so we must stay focus in our course.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
