Greetings,

It is not just because our theme for the month is on the Environment which comprises the wildlife, trees, oceans and streams, mountains and hills, valleys and issues so connected, but on the need to contribute to the development of the society.

Now the novel corona virus aka convid19 has put many things on hold, we in TLF 💚 humbly and passionately urge us to key into good sanitation now and forever!

We encourage washing of hands, eating with clean cutlery as much as possible, using hand sanitizer, using proper toilets, using handkerchiefs to clean sweat, don't pick your nose if you are not ready to wash it, use tissue to sneeze, cough into your elbow, bathe often and go for medical check up at least once a year, among a million other things!

How can you support us in TLF 💚 in this regard?
1. We want to buy waste bins to distribute to public schools to help collect their waste (there are waste managers and where they fail we can go the Waste Management office)
2. We want to buy buckets with tap opening for schools, strategic places and primary health care centres
3. We want to buy large quantities of hand-wash or hand sanitizers
4. We want to visit a number of schools to carryout Outreach on #Enivronment where we will engage experts, and use projector, small generator, mobile microphone, megaphone, charts and other items to teach and sensitise on issues that affect the environment and can help curb any threat of convid19
5. We need funds to buy needed things, pay stipends, make charts, refreshments for the volunteers and pupils and school staff, fuel and transportation among several logistics.

This message is not just for a few of us but for us to pray, advice, share your thoughts, spread the message/plan/ideal/proposal, donate if we can, come and volunteer if we can, BUT also get the help we can from people who CAN.

Remember TLF is not a one person NGO, you are needed and appreciated.

May God Almighty heal the world, save humanity from this pandemic and give us the wisdom to truly and finally know how to curtail the spread of convid19 in Jesus mighty name, amen.

TLF 💚

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
