23rd September annually is International Day of Sign Languages.

 Have you ever seen people with physical disabilities communicate?
I have. There was this one time I entered Edo State Comrade Bus, there were a number of school children who entered and everyone noticed that they all communicated among themselves with hand signs.
While some use Braille to read, others use hand gestures or signs while others use audio or hearing aids.

 God is great and makes a way where there seems to be no way. 
But many ascribe the ingenuity to man and science, what a miss!
It is all God.
We are happy to know that ODB (which we want to raise money for this month) is involved in producing materials for people with physical disabilities in order to communicate God’s Word to everyone notwithstanding. So please let us support them, thank you!

 How can we improve sign language in Nigeria?
How can we contribute to those already at the fore front of helping people communicate in sign language?
Can you read sign language?

 Join us to donate Braille materials to the School for the Deaf in Edo. We have done this in Ekiti and Oyo. Let it spread around Nigeria and beyond.

  Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself."
