D Day for our March Theme

Ensuring and Maintaining a healthy Environment helps us to understand that issues of nature, climate and weather conditions are important to ensure that the human race is preserved and well catered for.

Did you know that 5th of June is World Environment Day?

The United Nations (UN) designates specific days as occasions to mark particular events in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organisation.

Kindly engage with us via our X platform, Facebook and other platforms for a broader discussion and need to address the issue of human population.

We in TLF we care about the environment in its different dimensions. We advocate for everyone to be involved in that concerns the environment.

So today 5th of March we have set it aside as our D Day for our theme for the month.

While sharing our TLF items sourced from within and from donations, we try as much as possible not to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of those in need, in comparison with what we have. In an occasion where we visited a public secondary school nearest to our temporary TLF Centre, the principal remarked that we didn't come with cartons of exercise books and cups of biros, but a few dozens! We reminded her of 5 loaves and 2 fish! We can't do it all. We can only give what we have. We do what we can and pray God sends other NGOs, individuals and even the government themselves at any level.

Let us not just be aware that we must take care of our environment, but let us actively be involved in conserving our flora and fauna as well as safeguarding our climate all around the world.

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers.
