As we continue in our journey towards #Balance let us be reminded that 20th of March annually is the International Day of Happiness.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other that is in the pursuit of happiness.  God bless your labour and work of love. See what do statistics reveal about happiness above! People always say that there is a difference between Happiness and Joy! What do you think? How about laughter? Is it a sign of happiness? As we think of happiness let us remember those who are struggling with depression and whose lives' struggles seem to overwhelm them. Remember that 10th September annually is World Suicide Prevention Day. Earlier in this month we handled it here. It is a day set aside by WHO. Many people with seemingly balanced lives with schedules for work, family time and myriad of friends still end up as victims of suicide. We as humans do not have all the answers but God does. Please support us in any way you can so we can view "How to buy happiness" by Michael Norton at our planned flmshow outreach at a school to encourage people to think positively. It is important for us in this month of #Balance to address issues of depression, guilt-tripping and other things hat tilt our balance of scale in living a wholesome life.  Depression is like a deflated ball. It flattens the spirit. Why slide into depression when you can live your life sober and true. Sobriety is not despair or depression. I live a sober life.  Do you? Jesus says we should watch and pray, but did you also know that His Word tells us children of God to be sober. Being sober is being alert, aware and conscious of your decisions,  Knowing that actions have reactions and consequences.  But being "high" the opposite of being sober, Is the gyration people push for. There is a need for group circle meetings where strength can be pulled from likeminded people. It's the same way testimonies of believers help strengthen our faith. If you don't understand that you can lose your sense of purpose, because when one season is over you've nothing left to carry with you into the next. Isn't it amazing how God works in our lives! On a Saturday  night several weeks ago, this pastor was working late, and decided to call  his wife before he left for home. It was about 10:00 PM, but his wife didn't  answer the phone. The pastor let the phone ring many times. He thought it  was odd that she didn't answer, but decided to wrap up a few things and try  again in a few minutes. When he tried again she answered right  away.  He asked her why she hadn't answered before, and she said that it  hadn't rung at their house. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways. The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the  church office, which was the phone that he'd used that Saturday night. Malcolm Cloutt was named a 2021 Maundy Money honouree by Queen Elizabeth II, an annual service award given to British men and women. There was a story that a mother of one who committed suicide after she cried for help on Facebook and got no help. People blamed her that she killed herself to escape hard times but left her son behind to suffer.  Who cares? no empathy! no love! No one to share your problem with. No one to help you. People don't really care what you are going through. I pray we overcome every challenges we're facing. so that we won't ask people that will mock us for help. Suicide is never an option.... Why do people take God for granted like this? Sadly, people can cross the ocean just to attend a funeral but can't cross a street to help. Steve Bing, an American producer, philanthropist, and writer died by suicide at the age of 55 on Monday June 22nd after jumping from the 27th floor of a luxury apartment building in L.A.'s Century City neighborhood. A media personality revealed that he attempted taking his own life twice. He made this known speaking on a task titled “Mental health.” He blamed parents for not being serious about their children’s mental health. Suicide is NEVER an option. Always make people around you happy because the Nigeria of today is enough to make many people feel depressed.
