There are 3 things we miss participating and organising in TLF. They are -
1. Online Puzzles to make people more sensible

2. On ground Excursions to expose children to places to make them more sensitive

3. Our Centre activities which give us regular opportunities to show love to participants

Why are these things on hold and what can be the solutions?

1. We need to encourage people to read more and be more critical thinkers. People should not only read for exams or interviews. Also people should not only engage in puzzles when they fear dementia or they are idle. But engage in puzzles to know more and be deep thinkers.

2. We need our own mobility in the form of a bus, van, stationwagon or money to transport children to the places we have designated every month to visit. We also need money to access places where payments are needed before entry.

3. We need volunteers to help teach on the 5 days our Centre is open whuch include: arts and crafts instructors, music teachers, counsellors, sports enthusiasts and tech people for our seminers and filmshows. We also need money to provide stipends and transportation for these volunteers. We also need money to provide light refreshments for participants. We also need money to buy materials, instruments and equipments needed to teach and instruct. We need money for electricity, internet and running costs for the Centre.

You can help in several ways. Please reach us. Also donate in cash and tell others too to donate. We also want donations in kind. thank you.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Why Do You Smoke?

6 personalized approaches to quitting forever.  Everyone smokes—and quits—for different reasons, and the key to getting smoke-free for life is to find out why you are smoking and then change those behaviors. If you are a Recreational or Social Smoker, you may feel that your limited smoking poses no serious medical harm to yourself or others. You may, however, ignore warning signs that your occasional smoking is progressing into addiction, especially during periods of stress or increased alcohol use. A periodic review of these warning signs may help motivate you to consider becoming smoke-free. The Scared-to-Quit Smoker has no end of reasons (excuses) to put off going smoke-free to some future date. Sometimes it helps to focus on just quitting for one day. If you can quit for a day, you can quit every day. This realization can be a great confidence builder, and helps to decrease your fears about not smoking “ever again.” Forever is too big a word for many addicts; thus the old adage...
