Poem

Are we imprisoned?

Imprisoned in the cell of society

which has affected our minds heavily

not allowing us to think of things through.

Society has dictated what to wear what to drink

how to live and what to think.

Are you kidding? society has dictated when to love, give thanks,

when I give a gift

society is a massive rock I wanna lift.

Are we imprisoned in Society

this life ain't right for...

Society has taken an essential tool away

and that is our freedom,

of everything that could be left behind

we leave our most powerful tool and that is our minds.

I wonder if we'll ever find our minds so I can rewind society's bind

I can no longer hear, I can no longer listen we're imprisoned in societies' system.

God Help Us Amen

As we go through this theme in TLF for the rest of this month and indeed for all time, recognise the people who "imprison you" figuratively.

I thank everyone who fights to keep people justly out of prisons – of the cell, mind, religion, tribalism, status, finance, ritual and class in this life in one way or the other through words, deeds and prayers. I am honoured to also do so for others. There is also a special place for all those who do so for Tina Tobo & Associate, our sister body. When we keep in mind those who love us there would be no room or place in our lives for injustice, discrimination or hate. We preach love, we practice it, we pray for it. God is love.

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

UN Days for the Month of June.

The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization. Usually, it is one or more Member States that propose these observances and the General Assembly establishes them with a resolution. On occasion, these celebrations are declared by the specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF, FAO, etc., when they concern issues that fall within the scope of their competencies. Some of them may be later adopted by the General Assembly. 1 June Global Day of Parents   3 June World Bicycle Day  4 June International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression   5 June World Environment Day  5 June International Day for the Fight against Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing  8 June World Oceans Day   12 June World Day Against Child Labour 13 June International Albinism Awarene...

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers. You too can organise such a wonderful event. In TLF we inspire...
