As we did in January, we remember the late Dr. Ehidiamen Oaikhena. Born 26th December, Ehidiamen departed this life on the 16th of January 2017. He was friends with TLF on facebook and a likeminded advocate of the love of God. We in our own way remember Dr. Ehidiamen Oaikhena and we pray God blesses, comforts and carters for his family and all who are left to remember him, amen. But if we were to ask why such a wonderful person was taken away in such a gruesome way and in such a short period of time on earth, we would probably get the answers God gave Job and his 3 friends. So like Job we must say, ‘Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD’ (Job 1 verse 21). ‘For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth’ (Job 19 verse 25).

At 1.24am on the 26th of December 2017 Ehidiamen celebrated his last birthday thus -
“It’s been an amazing and awesome 365days for me. I want to thank God for the gift of life, for his protection over my life and my family members. Want to appreciate Ij my better half, u have been my backbone and pillar; my Princess Joanna, the one that doesn't allow me rest one kobo; my king Jethro, the one that is always climbing all over me; my angel Jesse; the one that doesn't allow me sleep. My parents Mr Joshua and Mrs Felicia Oaikhena, always there to care and advice me; my siblings Engr. Ehi Oaiks, Izzy and Ehiz, you people always have my back. My pastor W. F Kumuyi for preaching the undiluted word of God and teaching me the principles of success, daddy you are my model, mentor and master. My great Dept of Anaesthesiology, UBTH headed by our able mummy, Prof. Edomwonyi, other consultants for training me and fellow residents for making the work place a home for me. The patients that have allowed me take care of them are not left out, may God rest the souls of those who have gone ahead of us and may he bring health to those that are sick. Today is officially my birthday and I am eternally grateful. Happy Birthday to me and by God's grace better days ahead.”

We shared our drinks and biscuits and everyone had a nice time. The children interacted and had a nice time. It came to a happy end and everyone went back home safely. We look forward to more activities such as these. We thank God for the success and blessings. God bless all those who contributed in various ways. Remember that, the ultimate law is love. TLF

Theme

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Did You Know?

Creativity comes from God the Creator and He has given us pro-creative abilities in different areas to make the world a better place and provide works of charity. In TLF we are big on arts, crafts and creativity. We celebrate creativity. Many people have been able to support charitable causes from creative art exhibitions and sales. Many others have also used their creative works to raise awareness on various laudable causes for social development. Take for instance in our theme for this month, we have selected some creative art works that will help pass our message to us in an artistic way. Also in our Centre, we host children who often come just to draw and make things from recycled materials. We strongly invite you to like our facebook page - TLF Creativity. We also share and retweet such creativity on our X handle that we also invite you to like and share. Our various artworks in TLF add to the posters we paste around and the comics we also produce and share out. Join our facebook ...
