Every country in the world is affected by human trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit, or destination for victims. Children make up almost a third of all human trafficking victims worldwide, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Global Report on Trafficking in Persons. Additionally, women and girls comprise 71 per cent of human trafficking victims, the report states. In 2010, the General Assembly adopted the Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, urging Governments worldwide to take coordinated and consistent measures to defeat this scourge. The Plan calls for integrating the fight against human trafficking into the UN’s broader programmes in order to boost development and strengthen security worldwide. One of the crucial provisions in the Plan is the establishment of a UN Voluntary Trust Fund for victims of trafficking, especially women and children. The Trust Fund facilitates effective, on-the-ground assistance and protection to vic

It is another July 30th

How long are we going to pretend that human trafficking is a pandemic that needs all hands to be on deck to curb it and totally eradicate it? TLF stands against human trafficking.
We commend Mr. Tobi, O. J. Akhere and the Firm Foundation for helping to give out "Different Thinking" Devotionals. We thank all those who give out devotionals freely and for free.  We also acknowledge and celebrate Grace So Amazing Foundation and Mr. Victor Eguare for the distribution of The Word For Today. We also appreciate and celebrate the works of Our Daily Bread and Mrs. Isioma Francis. You too can be an ambassador, light, salt, witness and evangelist by giving out devotionals or sponsoring devotionals to be given out freely. God bless you. TLF💚

A HUMAN FARM DISCOVERED IN LYBIA.

THE TROOPS OF FIELD MARSHAL HAFTAR RELEASED MORE THAN 2,500 AFRICANS (men women and children and babies) in a very strange farm. All these Africans were locked in small cages limiting their movements like wild beasts. They were all in a very bad state. Some had no eyes and all bore stigmata of gross surgery. The story of these unfortunate Africans is beyond any understanding. It's the farm of horrors. The paroxysm of horror. The worst was, again, attained. The most extreme barbarism worthy of hell executed by incarnated demons. No human being can commit such atrocities to other human beings and feel free. With the blessing of the European Union, they created the black market of all parts of the human body. They ruled that the black people were human spare parts. Without bothering to give them the slightest anesthesia, doctors took from them the organs that the wealthy Western clientele needed. We sequester human beings. They are denied their humanity and locked up in cages as a res
Lebanon was hell, I don’t pray for Satan to experience it – Nigerian returnee Twenty-nine Nigerians evacuated by the Federal Government from Lebanon arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Saturday afternoon. They were received by officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and the House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, among others. Among them is a 31-year-old Nigerian lady, Temitope Arowolo, who was being prosecuted in Lebanon over alleged theft and attempted murder. Another is Peace Busari, who was offered for sale on Facebook for $1000 by a Lebanese, Wael Jerro. Arowolo, in a brief interaction with journalists, said Lebanon was like a hell for her. She cautioned Nigerians, especially girls, who embark on trips in search of greener pastures outside Nigeria. She said, “I’m happy being home. Going to Lebanon is like (going to) a hell. Nobody knows that will happen there. I advise other girls to stay here in Nige

TLF Activities

We usually go to showcase inspirational, motivational and encouraging movies in schools and churches, and even on the streets.  This picture was taken at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado where we showed a movie to some of the students. We have numerous I.M.E. movies, short videos and other things we would love to share to the public and we have most of our equipments and logistics. We however need more volunteers who would help with the technical set-up, transportation and follow-up. While growing up, I witnessed movies were organised in large Lecture Theatres, and were a great source of influence. It is not just to bring people together, but ensure they leave with a message for life and eternity from what we show. We are not entertainers but strive to see a society more sensible, sensitive and loving. Kindly contact us with contributions, inquiries and suggestions. Thank you.  #July TLF💚

MEMO FROM GOD

To: YOU  Date: TODAY  From: THE BOSS  Subject: YOURSELF  Reference: LIFE  I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help.  If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.  once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.  If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.  Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.  Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.  Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire

Purchase of more musical instruments. We will love for you to join us as we acquire through kind, cash or gifts more musical instruments for people to use to learn and accompany their music lessons. Besides our music activities at the Centre, we want to help re-orientate people’s tolerance with regards the type of music in vogue nowadays. The rising decadence in the society is largely as a result of evil communication found in most contemporary music lyrics and video shoots. These are corrupting the years of when music was a powerful tool in making people to be more sensible, sensitive and loving. #July TLF💚

2 MAILS FROM JESUS

Ruth went to her mailbox and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter: Dear Ruth: I'm going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit. Love Always, Jesus. Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. "Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer." With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. "Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner." She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents. "Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least."  She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.  A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a car

TLF FilmShows!

Inspired by Uncle E and Mount Zion Films, among others! Several years ago we had a film-show in Ekosodin and the feedback was good. So we look forward to many more of such TLF outdoor activities. We thank God for our new projector, our repaired screen, our mobility, our re-designed lighting system, our serviced fuel generator, our newly rewired speakers and our ever ready amplifier and DVD! We cannot forget all those who donated for us to get a brand new Projector in 2020. In our filmshows we communicate good for the good of society, you and I are part of. If we do good and good exists in the society we will all benefit from it. We abhor the porn industry and seek to regulate the music industry. We cannot ignore the infiltration of evil morals in our children's media and cartoons which we vehemently kick against.  In TLF we are big on education at all levels. Having experienced teriary educatuion in University of Benin, University of Ibadan, Afe Babalola University and University of Ilorin not to forget the Nigerian Law School, there is the urgent need to cater for the needs of the tertiary environement - staff and students. We also give special mention to those with businesses, religious centres, visitors and parents of those in tertiary institutions. Take for instance in our theme in September especially, focus is completely on issues of literacy and learning. The role of the tertiary institutions we have in Nigeria cannt be overestimated in terms of charity and social development. The tertiary institution is often seen as the fininshing school of every individual who has the opportunity to attend.  We acknowledge those who did not attend tertiary institutions by choice or due to circumstances beyond their control, they also form a significant part of the teriary institutions' community.

Bondage/Trafficking

This is what various Bible versions say about Bondage/Trafficking our theme for the month. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Stand firm, and do not be willing to be again held by the yoke of servitude. Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off]. ... the ultimate law is love. #July TLF💚

Throwback Story of 2019

Trump Faces Backlash For Asking Activist Nadia Murad Why She Won The Nobel Peace Prize Sarah Midkiff July 20, 2019 Twenty-seven refugees who have survived religious persecution met with President Donald Trump at the White House on Friday. One woman at the event was Nadia Murad — a Nobel laureate who was forced to flee to Germany after ISIS attacked her Yazidi community and killed members of her family before trafficking Murad and others. She escaped and became the first woman from Iraq to win the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting against abuse and sexual violence. Murad is also part of the first court case against Islamic State extremists in Iraq and Syria on charges of genocide and sexual violence being litigated by Amal Clooney. After she was introduced to Trump, Murad told him her story and how she came to be part of the group of people he was meeting with that day. She explained how even though ISIS no longer poses a threat to her home, going back is not as simple as booking a plane t

Today, I have two stories for you. Both of them are true. Here's the first one: Maxwell Morrison was well and truly screwed. He was standing in a courtroom in Bangkok, waiting for his sentence. The offence was drug trafficking, and if found guilty, the sentence would be life in one of the most horrific prisons in the world. The problem was that Maxwell was innocent. the drugs had been found stashed in a musical instrument he had agreed to carry through the checkpoint for a woman who had appeared to have her hands full with a baby, two young children and a whole lot of hand luggage. Of course, the moment the sniffer dogs singled him out for special attention, the woman and her children evaporated into thin air. He had tried to explain this to the judge in his super-fast-track case, which had so far lasted less than 45 minutes, but the prosecution had countered by pointing out that it would take a very stupid person indeed to be suckered into carrying anything through a security chec

Folder Message

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night  in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem." The next night the pair came to rest at the house  of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, sh

The number at the end of this story is real.

This guy went out on a Saturday night a few weeks ago to a party. He was having a good time and had a couple of beers and some girl seemed to like him and invited him to go to another party. He quickly agreed and decided to go along with her. She took him to a party in some apartment and they continued to drink and even got involved with some drug (unknown). The next thing he knew, he woke up completely naked in a bathtub filled with ice. He was still feeling the effects of the drugs, but looked around to see he was alone.  He looked down at his chest, which had CALL 000 or YOU'LL DIE" written on it with lipstick. He saw a phone was on a stand next to the tub so he Picked it up and dialed. He explained to the EMS operator what the situation was & that he didn't know where he was, what he took, or why he was really calling. She advised him to get out of the tub. He did, and he appeared normal, so she told him to check his back. He did, he found two 9 inch slits on his l

"That God so loved"

"That God so loved" By Tina Tobo PSLC, BL, Ph.D.  ... the ultimate law is love. That God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. In the summary of God's love for us. It is the nexus of the Christmas birth with the Good Friday death and the Easter resurrection with the Pentecost outpouring. God showed us the ultimate template for love and to love. Jesus said if you give your life for Christ's sake you would find it. But in showcasing the love of God, we are not called to be murderers or be suicidal or to perform human sacrifices. Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our redemption and reconciliation back to God. We are called to love 'vertically' between us and God being over all and 'horizontally' between us and our fellow humans. This love required of us and from us is ready to suffer long and is kind; it does not envy nor does it parade itself; it is not puffed up an
