"That God so loved"

... the ultimate law is love.

That God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. In the summary of God's love for us. It is the nexus of the Christmas birth with the Good Friday death and the Easter resurrection with the Pentecost outpouring. God showed us the ultimate template for love and to love. Jesus said if you give your life for Christ's sake you would find it. But in showcasing the love of God, we are not called to be murderers or be suicidal or to perform human sacrifices. Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our redemption and reconciliation back to God. We are called to love 'vertically' between us and God being over all and 'horizontally' between us and our fellow humans. This love required of us and from us is ready to suffer long and is kind; it does not envy nor does it parade itself; it is not puffed up and does not behave rudely; it does not seek its own nor is it provoked; it thinks no evil and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Infact this love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. This Love never fails. Such a love is ready to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, for it was freely received, that is why it freely gives.

This love leads to perfection in making one ready to go and sell what one has to give to the poor. This love is ready to give a little one a cup of cold water in the name of being a disciple. Do you want to know more about this love? Then listen to Jesus Christ: 'assuredly inasmuch as you did the following to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me' - that when hungry you gave food; when thirsty you gave drink; for the stranger you took in; the naked you clothed; the sick you visited; the prisoner you visited.' Are you surprised that God places so much importance on the poor and downtrodden? Well so much so that even he who has pity on the poor lends to He the Lord, and He Himself will pay back what he has given. Blessed be the poor in spirit, happy are they, theirs is the kingdom of heaven. God so loved you and I that He sent Jesus Christ not to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. God so loved.

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Thank God For The End Of Our mid-Year Crossover Prayers For 2025

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day, as we continue this second half of this year. I thank You for our  being able to see and to hear this morning. We’re blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for us  and You keep on blessing us . Forgive us  this day for everything we  have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. We  ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep us  safe from all danger and harm. Help us  to start this day and second half of the year 2025 with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let us  make the best of each and every day to clear our  mind s  so that we  can hear from You. Please broaden our  mind s  that we  can accept all things. Let us  not whine and whimper over things we  have no control over. Let us  continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when we  sin, let us  repent, and confes...
