Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh was born on October 27th, 1956. “She is credited to have curbed a wider spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria by placing the patient zero, Patrick Sawyer, in quarantine despite pressures from the Liberian government. She is known for preventing the Nigerian index case from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis, thereby playing a key role in curbing the spread of the virus in Nigeria.”
On August 4th 2014 it was confirmed that she had tested positive for the virus and she passed away on August 19th 2014.
We in our own way celebrate and remember Dr Stella Adadevoh.
We were excited and privileged to have purchased these handwash cups in Calabar when we saw that proceeds were channeled to the Foundation established in her memory.
This among several other ways help you and I to support the memory, legacy and stance for which great people stood and were known for. This will in turn inspire, motivate and encourage several generations to also walk that path of integrity.
NOTE: God willing we would be having a viewing of the TED Talk presented by her son Bankole Cardoso titled “Patriotism and development” organised by TEDxJabi at our TLF Centre. Kindly send us a message on tinalovefoundation@gmail.com for reservations, inquiries and sponsorship.
Thank you.
