It is our anniversary of Incorporatiin today!

Greetings in love,

We thank God Almighty that on this day, August 27th in the year 2010 we formally and finally received our Certificate of Incorporation as an Incorporated Trustee.
We thank all those God used to make it a reality.

It has been an amazing time since then and we thank God for His greatness.
Remember that we are registered for charity and social development.

Charity is synonymous to love, because the ultimate law is love.
Charitable works cut across all facets of life and living.

Just imagine it and believe it, that God will use you to fulfil the good works He set since the foundation of time.
Let your light so shine before men and women, children and indeed all creation, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who art in heaven.

Orphanages still need assistance.
Hospitals still have patients who need help.
Families are there with genuine need for assistance.
Students are brilliant but stranded for lack of help.
NGOs, Foundations, Charities, CSOs, Churches and others can't do without your participation.

Social development on the other hand is synonymous to nation building.
Developed nations hardly need external help to meet their social welfare responsibilities. Such nations odten have internal mechanisms in place to prevent citizens from lack or relying majorly on private assistance, non governmental organisations and charities. Policies are put in place for the government to primarily cater for the welfare of their citizens. Secondarily, such private entities, Charities and Foundations augment and support the government's actions by way of corporate social responsibilities, scholarships, sponsorships, Public-private partnerships and private Outreaches. There is also the place of international organisations such as the United Nations and their agencies, subsidiaties and affiliates such as UNICEF, UNESCO, FAO and others. There is also the huge role of faith based orgasations which appeal to the morals, conscience and thoughts of members  of the society.

The TLF as a  microcosm of a solution provider for charity and social development has welcomed and still welcomes like-minded persons to join our Board of Trustees, members, volunteers and friends. We also appreciate donations in cash, kind, and ideas. We continue to reach out via our online platforms, our outreaches and activities in our temporary Centre.

We acknowledge the generosity of our donors and friends. Also those who follow us and join us on all our social media handles, we are grateful. Those who join in the distribution of our tracts and comics, those who provide devotionals and books for us to give out freely, those who help us paste our message and information posters, those who provide internet access and transportation, those who help coordinate children who come to the Centre, those who invite us and welcome us to their schools, hospitals and orphanages, etc, for outreaches, our media friends, and ultimately those who pray with us, we say a big thank you.

God bless you all.
... the ultimate law is love.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August!

Today is the second part of our D Day for the month of August! Although this celebration is marked in the month of May, we have harmonised all relevant sub-themes dealing with family and youth under this month of August.  15th of May is International Day of Families.  We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form of activity or the other to promote wholesome family life and the true meaning of family.  God bless your labour and work of love. May we not do anything in vain. Remember - Matthew 12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! Psalm 113:Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! You are invited to attend our viewing of - "Loneliness is literally killing us" by Will Wright at TEDxBirmingham . We commend the speaker and give kudos to the organisers. You too can organise such a wonderful event. In TLF we inspire...
