CHRISTMAS NIGHT PRAYER TO JESUS

Jesus, before I ask blessings for myself on your Birthday

I ask you to bless in this night:

the sick who will not sleep tonight

the helpless HIV victims

the unarmed innocent victims of terrorism

the jobless youth that is perplexed

the ever greedy politicians

the senseless fundamentalists

the sad who are very lonely tonight

those who travel by air, land or sea

those who are in prison and in disgrace

those who have no house or home of their own

those who have no one as their dear ones

together to celebrate your Birthday

those who mourn the death of the dear ones

those who safeguard our country

those who govern our country

and our religious and political leaders.

Finally I ask you this night to bless me and my dear ones.

In this month of December, our poster helps us to reflect on the real meaning of this season we commenmorate year in year out. Christmas is a time when we remember that God loves us and has us in mind, that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, born as a baby in a lowly manger. Jesus who went through all things and understands what we go through. May we remember that God loves us and expects us to live holy and peaceful lives in joy and solemnity. May the celebration of Jesus bring us blessings now and always, amen.

#NextGeneration Stories

Cherokee Legend Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage? His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves him alone.  He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help from anyone.  Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some humans might do him harm. The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man! Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him.    He had been at watch the entire night, p...

August Theme

Our thematic issues for this month is #NextGeneration We urge us in love to pick one of the issues under our theme for the month and help share messages, videos, pictures and matters for discussion and action plans under any of the issues. Let's dig deep into the concept of preparing the next generation of leaders, professionals, members of the society among others, which comes from God Himself right from creation and see how it improves acts of charity and social development. Humanity has survived since creation because intentional efforts have been made to prepare for generations to generations. Families birth those who'd constitute the next generation. If we don't prepare the next generation, we'd have a retrogressive situation which is highly preventable. #NextGeneration #August TLF 💚
