So today we had our visit to the Sickle Cell Centre, where we've been going at least once a year for almost 10 years now.
We met with stiff hostility and terrible behaviour from a staff who stood in the way of our outreach.
In matters like this, we usually overlook such characters and focus on the beneficiary. But this obstacle stood in the way of one patient who would have benefitted from our love visit.
TLF has no intention or time to rub in the mud or take up the issue officially which is a very little thing we can do at no expense, but like Paul in the Holy Bible, who in his letters to the Church, named those who resisted his work and stood in the way of the Gospel, we shall only report this woman's name to God Almighty and leave her to her fate. But we expressed our disappointment in her to her with gentleness and love, as is in our principle as a Foundation.
TLF's policy is not to make people die in their sins or lose their jobs, what shall it profit us? But we know that what we have to give as part of our charity outreach will reach a needy patient in a Government run hospital, latest Sunday by God's grace.
The children of the Kingdom have to be wise and courageous. The people of the world are resilient but we are powerful and more than conquerors. The people of the world are defeated already.
Love, charity and good works are spiritual, if you doubt kindly read about the obstacles Mother Theresa of Calcutta faced!
The kingdom of darkness can never be happy when you provide free schools, subsidized health care, distribute Bibles, give out meals in food banks or care for the needy.
We are in the world but we are not of it. The battle is real. If God Almighty has kept TLF this long, you'd know that the wickedness we faced at the TLF monthly Hospital visit today at the Sickle Cell Centre, was just a mere tap on the palm.
This goes to show that besides having a will, desire or intention, you must push, keep on and be strong, no ego, no pride, no vindictivenes, no violence and no hate.
Besides physical giving, we must also be prayerful. Can anyone stand against you and I praying? No. So do your part and we do ours by praying, and let God answer us, in Jesus name, amen.
What is ultimate in TLF's monthly school, hospital and prison visits is that the young get the right education, the sick get healed to go home in divine health, and the prisoners get justice, freedom and peace with God over their actions. Not forgetting the staff.
We have had visits to both public and private institutions and we know the terrain, behaviour of staff, reception by parents and bright eyes of anticipation by children.
We shall continue to continue our works of charity and social development to the glory of God.
Remember Jesus Christ fed over 5000 men with only 5 loaves and 2 fish, you can start and do something with the little you have.
It's definitely better than the insensitive and indolent who stand in the way of those who are sensitive, sensible and loving enough to be ready to start little and even do as they are capable. Those with pride who laugh at those who try at all, while they do nothing and wait for trillions to take a first step, or condemn and scorn others who try must remember that whoever gives to the poor and needy lends to God. This is God's matter.
We must fear God.
God is love.
Remember 30th of this month is our D day for our theme being #EndHumanTrafficking.
