Sometimes the reasons to leave home are hinged on envy, comparison and jealousy!

Ponder on these pictures!

You have a roof, clothes, education, job and food and even security but you see the movies, social media accounts and posh pictures of others and you desire to move to another place and live like them.

Unfortunately, many have regretted such moving, some have realised that the grass is not always greener, while a good number have achieved all the lush life they desired but at the expense of integrity, family, friends, faith, decency and more.

Godly contentment is great gain.

TLF is not pushing for mediocrity or a sit-put agenda in the midst of a failed system, insecurity or want for better prospects.

Instead what we intend to achieve in the month of July where we deal with issues of #Trafficking (which has imbibed in it issues of sex trafficking, child trafficking, illegal migration, slavery, violence against women, rape and other threats to humanity),

Is to sensitise the public - those who know to stand against these things, and those who don't know to be weary of lies and deception by agents of these societal ills.

We also intend to support agencies, NGOs, individuals and government bodies such as NAPTIP in their fight against trafficking.

We intend to share our tracts to educate people on the dangers of trafficking.

We also have books and movies in place to enlighten people about the ills of trafficking.

We have various programmes online and on sight to achieve these and more by the grace of Almighty God.

We know that many girls are still travelling out of the country for greener pastures only to end up being used as slaves.

We know that many young men are still illegally crossing borders in Mexico, Morroco, Spain and Greece, among other nations and dying in the process.

We know that many situations and conditions in life push people to move, but many also are not in this category.

As the month advances, let us continue to deal with these issues.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...
