Slavery boomed in the distant past irrespective of religion and faith.
A number of faiths used the excuse of doctrine and teachings to encourage slavery.
Many cultures practised slavery where people from territories conquered, were taken as war booty or spoil to work as slaves.
However, around the 17th to 19th century, more people used religion as an in road to capture lands and people for their benefit.
What can we learn from this history in modern times?
Are we still having religious induced slavery in form of mental slavery, exploitation in terms of tithes and offerings, or outright servitude of clergy who act as gods of men in the guise of men of God.
As we stand against all forms of traffciking, violence and slavery, we also stand against mental slavery and false doctrines being perpetuated against the Christian faith and belief.
