Our D Day for the Month's theme! 17th of May is World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.

Our D Day for the Month's theme!

17th of May is World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.

We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who engage in one form or the other of promoting telecommunication and information.

God bless your labour and work of love.

May we not do anything in vain.

Let me share this secret with you, don't tell anybody you heard it from me sha!

If anyone tells you to speak their language because you are in their state, tell them to speak English that it's the lingual franca of Nigeria recognised by the highest law of the land. If they say English is not our language and we are really not English, tell them bravo! So also I'm not from your village, and your language is not mine. I beg don't find trouble oh. As much as you can learn new languages. If someone would not show interest in your language or would force their language on you, no matter how dominating (including English language), challenge them to learn yours.

Remember 2 Corinthians 4:2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,

4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake.

Remember the ultimate law is love.

God is love.

There is no answer outside of God.

Your life in God is most important.

In all your research, submit to Jesus Christ and be fervent.

Bravo to our telecommunication companies here in Nigeria who give with one hand and take with the other.

TLF utilises data in 50% of our activities and we have had to spend more on data since the covid19 pandemic started! We thank all those who have helped us with such internet/data access - Mr. Ike Njamanze, Engr. Sam Anene, Mr. Benson Asemota, Mr. Bight Audu, Engr. Oghosa, Mr. Destiny, Mr. Etinosa and Engr. Chijioke Muokogwu, among others! You all are amazing and we appreciate you all in TLF.

In all we thank God for telecommunications. If some of us had the privilege of having landlines, cyber cafes and NITEL credit cards to make calls with public phones in booths, many people did not have such opportunities.

But telecommunication is not a luxury but a necessity.

Look at how far commerce, security, religion, education and relationships have gone with the availability and widespread access to various forms of telecommunication devices!

We celebrate with the Information Society and wish all those in the ICT a happy celebration.

But as an NGO we are calling on all relevant authorities to make telecommunication cheap, clear and accessible.

Theme Bible Verses

Matthew 12:34 You brood of vipers! how can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Proverbs 16:28 A perverse man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. Proverbs 17: 9 He who forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter alienates a friend. Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand forth against the life of your neighbour: I am the LORD. Proverbs 26:20 For lack of wood the fire goes out; and where there is no whisperer, quarrelling ceases. 22 The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body. Proverbs 11:13 He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing hidden. Psalms 34:13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Charles For: Frien

Did You Know?

Creativity comes from God the Creator and He has given us pro-creative abilities in different areas to make the world a better place and provide works of charity. In TLF we are big on arts, crafts and creativity. We celebrate creativity. Many people have been able to support charitable causes from creative art exhibitions and sales. Many others have also used their creative works to raise awareness on various laudable causes for social development. Take for instance in our theme for this month, we have selected some creative art works that will help pass our message to us in an artistic way. Also in our Centre, we host children who often come just to draw and make things from recycled materials. We strongly invite you to like our facebook page - TLF Creativity. We also share and retweet such creativity on our X handle that we also invite you to like and share. Our various artworks in TLF add to the posters we paste around and the comics we also produce and share out. Join our facebook
