12 November is International Day of Bible

Malcolm Cloutt was named a 2021 Maundy Money honouree by Queen Elizabeth II, an annual service award given to British men and women. Cloutt, who was 100 years old at the time of the recognition, was honoured for having given out 1000 Bibles during his lifetime. Cloutt has kept a record of everyone who's received a Bible and has prayed for them regularly.

Gideon's International is an Organisation who has over the years produced and distributed copies of small blue Bibles containing the books of Psalms and Proverbs, as well as the entire New Testament of the Bible. These Bibles have reached school students, prison inmates, correctional centres, juvenile homes, hospitals, hotels, and many other places. I myself I have received about 3 copies - when I entered UDSS in 1995, when I entered University of Benin in 2002 and when I was in University of Ibadan 2011.

TLF has put Bibles in a number of Public Libraries, Hotels, given individuals, inmates in correctional homes and several other places. We have gotten help, donation and assistance from a number of persons including Awele Peace Ikem, Tony Oputa, Itua Ogbebor, De Klerk, among other donors and friends.

Why do we give out Bibles at all?

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Revelation 22:10 And He said unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written before time were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Acts 17:10 ... Berea: ... 11  These were more noble ... in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

John 2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Isaiah 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.

105 Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Exodus 32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

The Bible contains all that pertains to life and living so why should we not spread God's Word in ensuring that everyone has access to the Bible in diverse languages and forms.

You can join us to ensure we have copies of the Bibles to give adults, youths and children, as well as share in various places. You can support other individuals and organisations who also share Bibles.

The world can only make sense when we have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to give us understanding.

Do you want balance? fear God. Love God. Delight in His Word. Read the Bible!

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness. Always know that in - Happy moments, praise God.  Difficult moments, seek God.  Quiet moments, worship God.  Painful moments, trust ...

Thank God For The End Of Our mid-Year Crossover Prayers For 2025

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day, as we continue this second half of this year. I thank You for our  being able to see and to hear this morning. We’re blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for us  and You keep on blessing us . Forgive us  this day for everything we  have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. We  ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep us  safe from all danger and harm. Help us  to start this day and second half of the year 2025 with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let us  make the best of each and every day to clear our  mind s  so that we  can hear from You. Please broaden our  mind s  that we  can accept all things. Let us  not whine and whimper over things we  have no control over. Let us  continue to see sin through Your eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when we  sin, let us  repent, and confes...
