4th of February is World Cancer Day.

We commend all those individuals, groups, NGOs, Charities, Foundations and others who participate in the research, management and treatment of all types of cancers.

God bless your labour and work of love.

May we not do anything in vain.

We recognise the works of traditional medical practitioners and alternative health care providers in the management of cancer treatments.

We also encourage people to go for regular check ups and tests. Early detection is key to overcome cancer.

Most importantly is trust in the healing power of God Almighty Who gives wisdom to the researchers, donors, medical professionals and pharmacists.

Remember Psalms 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.

Remember the ultimate law is love.

God is love.

There is no answer outside of God.

Your life in God is most important.

In all your preservation and conservations, submit to Jesus Christ and be fervent.

in loving memory of our loved ones lost to cancer and in hearty celebration of our loved ones who have beat cancer and are alive and well.

... the ultimate law is love.

Story Time

Lisungu Chieza from Zimbabwe was 26 when she was told in 1996 that she was HIV+. "This started my long journey of coping with being HIV+. My husband died in my arms at home eight months later." Not only did Lisungu have to cope with her own illness and losing her husband, but her husband's family also wrongly blamed her for his death. They came to her house, took away his things, and said, "If those children of yours get sick, don't even call us. We won't have anything to do with them or you." They would not even let her go to her husband's burial. "I gave up a college course I had planned to do. All I thought about was death. I neglected my children and myself." But her mother supported her. Lisungu began to find hope again and joined an HIV support group. Then she started to help others who were also HIV+, and took a college course about HIV-AIDS. She spoke at HIV meetings with the young people in her church. She believes that it is ver...

Why Do You Smoke?

6 personalized approaches to quitting forever.  Everyone smokes—and quits—for different reasons, and the key to getting smoke-free for life is to find out why you are smoking and then change those behaviors. If you are a Recreational or Social Smoker, you may feel that your limited smoking poses no serious medical harm to yourself or others. You may, however, ignore warning signs that your occasional smoking is progressing into addiction, especially during periods of stress or increased alcohol use. A periodic review of these warning signs may help motivate you to consider becoming smoke-free. The Scared-to-Quit Smoker has no end of reasons (excuses) to put off going smoke-free to some future date. Sometimes it helps to focus on just quitting for one day. If you can quit for a day, you can quit every day. This realization can be a great confidence builder, and helps to decrease your fears about not smoking “ever again.” Forever is too big a word for many addicts; thus the old adage...
