21 March is World Down Syndrome Day  

24 March is World Tuberculosis Day  

2 April is World Autism Awareness Day   

7 April is World Health Day   

25 April is World Malaria Day  

28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work

6 - 12 Nurses Week

31 May is World No-Tobacco Day 

14 June is World Blood Donor Day

19 June is World Sickle Cell Day

25 September is World Pharmacist Day

28 September is World Rabies Day 

10 October is World Mental Health Day  

19 November is World Toilet Day  

1 December is World AIDS Day

12 December is International Universal Health Coverage Day

Why are these days important to us even in April? This is because these days play a role in adding to the sum total of our Aim and Objectives in TLF. 

But note that 7th April is World Health Day the "D" day, we are going to focus on issues of the body, health and issues surrounding Medicare. 

In the course of the year, join us in carrying out the various activities lined up in accordance with our themes. Remember that our cardinal projects are to distribute freely - Complete Bibles, devotionals, books, CDs, tracts, comics; send out inspirational messages; organise film-shows, seminar, workshops; make donations; paste posters; share via our write-ups on-line; and extra which involves redistribution of clothes, shoes, food, toiletries, provisions and other necessaries.

Our TLF 2 Day Event

Our TLF 2 Day Event started on Thursday and ended yesterday Friday. We had the person of Mrs Ishioma Francis who came to share good news with the children. We had Art competition and prizes were given. We had spelling bee and gifts were given. We had skipping competition and gifts were given. We had recitation of poems originally written by the children and gifts were given. We also used the opportunity to remind everyone of our theme for August. We shared our drinks and biscuits and everyone had a nice time. The children interacted and had a nice time. It came to a happy end and everyone went back home safely. We look forward to more activities such as these. We thank God for the success and blessings. God bless all those who contributed in various ways. Remember that, the ultimate law is love. TLF

Did You Know?

Creativity comes from God the Creator and He has given us pro-creative abilities in different areas to make the world a better place and provide works of charity. In TLF we are big on arts, crafts and creativity. We celebrate creativity. Many people have been able to support charitable causes from creative art exhibitions and sales. Many others have also used their creative works to raise awareness on various laudable causes for social development. Take for instance in our theme for this month, we have selected some creative art works that will help pass our message to us in an artistic way. Also in our Centre, we host children who often come just to draw and make things from recycled materials. We strongly invite you to like our facebook page - TLF Creativity. Theme

For us in TLF we are going to be focusing on Enterprise aka Labour aka Work for the entire month of June. We are urged to work. If you do not work how would you meet your daily needs? Like food, shelter, clothings and transportation? What about having what to give to others in need? There are so many reasons to work. I know many of us love to do what we love, we do not like to go to work if we do not like the job. But what if what you are doing as work and being paid for is actually what you love? What you love may not turn out to be a source of income, but we must still do what we can to earn. Are you enterprising? Please keep it up. Are you in paid labour in the private or public sector? Please do your work as unto the Lord God. Are you working all by yourself as a self employed worker? Please continue to grow and progress for greatness.
