If Google could honour Dr Ameyo
Adadevoh with a Google Doodle (a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's home
pages) on her birthday, we should ask why many Nigerian Organisations and
On-line platforms have not also celebrated this wonderful heroin of ours?
We in our own way celebrate and
remember Dr Stella Adadevoh by purchasing these handwash products that are connected to the memory of this great woman.
Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh was born on October 27th, 1956. “She is credited to have curbed a wider spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria by placing the patient zero, Patrick Sawyer, in quarantine despite pressures from the Liberian government.
She is known for preventing the Nigerian
index case from leaving the hospital at the time of diagnosis, thereby playing
a key role in curbing the spread of the virus in Nigeria.”
On August 4th 2014 it was
confirmed that she had tested positive for the virus and she passed away on
August 19th 2014.
NOTE: God willing we would be having
a viewing of the TED Talk presented by her son Bankole Cardoso titled
“Patriotism and development” organised by TEDxJabi at our TLF Centre. Kindly
send us a message on tinalovefoundation@gmail.com for reservations, inquiries
and sponsorship. Thank you.
